Weilai finds Nino and asks him to carry on what he is doing. She promises him to bring him out to play Ferris Wheel after he has completed his task. She will also stay to protect Nino. She has thought things through and knows that Nino is her future and she cannot afford to lose Nino and vice versa. Nino uses Ultimate Shield to protect himself while he tries to open Pan Gu’s tomb.

Nuwa senses that Nino is trying to open Pan Gu’s tomb as she is in great pain. She orders Dali to kill Nino. She explains to the Vampire Commander that Pan Gu is the heaven, the god of gods. He always leaves a tomb at the place he created. The tomb is used to monitor the created place. If something goes wrong, the person who requests the place to be created will be killed.

Dali, Qi Luo and Crow found Nino. Dami goes to find Dingdang. Neither Qi Luo nor Crow can defeat Weilai. They are also unable to break open the shield. On seeing this, Dali kills Weilai. Nino sees that his mother is dead and comes out of the shield. However, he is injured by Qi Luo because he is too weak to fight after using his power in trying to open the tomb. Nino calls out “mother” for help. On hearing this, Weilai forgets death and wakes up. She moves with extreme speed, even faster than Qi Luo and Crow, and injures both the vampires. She then brings Nino away.

Nino carries on in trying to open the tomb. He uses the Ultimate Shield to protect himself. Qi Luo and Crow arrive and Weilai fights with them. She kills Crow and injures Qi Luo severely. Qi Luo cannot believe that a 4th descendent vampire can be so powerful. The Vampire Commander suddenly appears and explains to Qi Luo that it is mother’s love that is able to create all these miracles. Weilai goes forward to try to punch the Vampire Commander but is unable to touch him. Weilai does not give up and tries to break the shield surrounding the Vampire Commander. Her hand manages to penetrate the shield but the Vampire Commander kills her after promising her that he will not kill Nino. Nino succeeds in opening Pan Gu's tomb and getting the arrow but he is devasted to find his mother dead. When he sees the Vampire Commander, the Vampire Commander snatches the arrow from him and destroys it. Nino promises revenge for his mother.

Weilai’s last words:
Nino, mum has to leave. I have no idea where I’m going. Maybe we’ll meet again, maybe not. Don’t be sad. Jin Weilai still exists in this world. Jin Weilai doesn’t belong to herself alone. She belongs to everyone who knows her. Everyone who knows me may find me a bother. I can never seem to do anything right. But I know all of them regard me as a friend. We’re not friends for just a day or a month. Friendship is for life. I’ll live in their hearts forever. You’re most important of all, Nino. Without my friends and my son, I’m an incomplete person. The moment you called me mum, I discovered great meaning in being human. I wish to hug you and touch your face. I want you to fret and look at me. I long to hear you cry, hear you laugh. I really wish… I really wish for all these things. But I have to go. Every mother has to let go of her child’s hand one day. She has to let him walk the path himself. But remember, no matter how difficult the path, don’t be afraid. Mum will always be at the end of the path watching you. Mum will always be there to bless you. Mum really has to go. Qi Luo feels lonely without Crow as company. Although he and Crow do quarrel, they generally get along well.

Red Tide remembers the time when she meets Xiu at Hongxi Village 60 years ago. She chatted with Xiu for a long time and knew that Xiu was waiting for Tianyou. Xiu also asked Red Tide to help her pass a message to Tianyou if she sees him, telling him that she had never blamed him before. Red Tide promised to help her.

Xinmei envies Tianyou and Xiaoling as they are willing to die for each other. She is utterly disappointed in Yong Fu because she sees him and Jojo killing each other in order to save their own lives. She brings Yong Fu to 4th January 2001 and leaves him there.

Yong Fu’s mother thought that Xinmei has killed Yong Fu. Hence, she possesses Mary’s body and tries to kill Xinmei. Fusheng, Fenren and Dingdang arrive and Xinmei brings Mary away. Fusheng thinks of an idea to help Mary. He uses his vampire power and creates the illusion that Dingdang is Yong Fu’s grandmother. Dingdang then goes to lecture Yong Fu’s mother. Yong Fu’s mother finally comes to her senses when she sees that Xinmei cares so much for Mary. She then leaves and goes on her way. Dingdang reveals herself and asks Xinmei for directions to Tong Tian Court but Xinmei refuses to tell her. Later, she finally tells Dingdang because she hopes that Mary can live past 2nd January 2001. Dingdang promises her to help her to kill Nuwa.

Xiaoling has the same dream (a person who looks like her is killed by General Kuang) as Tianyou. She goes with Tianyou and Dingdang to ask Danna about her own past life. Danna finally reveals the truth about Xiaoling’s past life.
