Doubts about linking:
Here are a few things that make the linking between them puzzling.
	My Date With A Vampire 1	My Date With A Vampire 2
1)	Mr Kuang moved into Jiajia building as a cop.	No information is available.
2)	Shouzheng, Jinjie, Ping-ma, Pipi, Kaiping, Jiajia, Guodong, Gao Bao, Susu, Xiaoqing, Miki and Ken appeared.	The same characters did not appear.
3)	Zhengzhong is believed to be reincarnation of Xuanwu.	Zhengzhong was Xiaoling's disciple.
4)	Mr Kuang's father died at the age of 60 plus.	Tianyou and Guohua appeared.
Here is a possible explanation offered by XiaoLing:
My Date With A Vampire 1 ends in the year 1998 whereas My Date With A Vampire 2 begins in the year 2000. A lot of things can happen within these 2 years. For example, Zhengzhong may turn over a new leaf and become Xiaoling's disciple. Ping-ma, Pipi and Kaiping may have moved away. Gao Bao may have left his job in the police station. Susu and Xiaoqing may have left Waiting Bar to wait for Xu Xian somewhere else. Miki and Ken may be strangers with Xiaoling and gang as they sat in a corner of Waiting Bar. Hence, there is no mentioning of them in My Date With A Vampire 2. As for the other characters, My Date With A Vampire 2 has offered explanations along the way in the show. Jiajia had gone to live overseas. (A possible implication is that Guodong may have gone overseas with her.) Shouzheng and Jinjie are in Africa. Mr Kuang's father died at the age of 60 plus in My Date With A Vampire 1. However, in My Date With A Vampire 2, why did both Tianyou and Guohua appear? In the beginning of My Date With A Vampire 2, it is known that the "Mr Kuang" in the ending of My Date With A Vampire 1 is actually Kuang Tianyou (Kuang Guohua's grandson). Hence, it is reasonable to think that Kuang Tianyou's father (Kuang Guohua's son) died at the age of 60 plus. Lastly, in my Date With A Vampire 1, after drinking Heart Liquor, Tianyou and Xiaoling found each other familier. However, this does not mean anything.
