Willliam was born on April in Stratford near London. No one really knows when he was born, but it might have been on April 23, 1564. There isn't much known about his childhood, but an assumption of where he attended was King's New School. It was a suffistocated school, which the cirruculm was well balanced with math, natural sciences, logic, etc.(www.gradesaver.com) He had six siblings, which only two who died; they were Gilbert and Richard. (www.absoluteshakespeare.com)He married Anne Hathaway, which would be on the 27th or 28th of November in 1582. Shalkespeare had three children with Anne. They were Susannna, William, andJudith. Not much is known about the "Lost Years" of his life. (www.shakespeare-online.com) He might have joined a theatre company in Stratford. They know he joined "The Lord Chamberlain's Men" in 1594. They did plays at the Globe Theatre, but had to move because they broke a law, but built a new Globe Theatre. He soon became a popular playwriter. In 1611 he retired to a piece of land in Stratford. In 1616 he wrote his will which gave Susanna the land, Judith a $300, and Anne the second best bed. He died on April 23, 1616 and was buried at the Holy Trinity Church on April 25. (www.watsom.com) |
