no organic motorcycle rifle battalion in Waffen-SS at that time. There
were four fully motorized SS regiments at that time and each regiment
had one motorcycle rifle company under the regiment command.

The SS-Aufklaerung-Sturmbann (mot) (SS motorized reconnaissance battalion)
in the division also had three motorcycle reconnaissance companies. The
SS-Totenkopf Division (mot) had three fully motorized SS regiments at
that time but there was no motorcycle rifle company under the regiment
command. The only two motorcycle reconnaissance companies in the division
belonged to the SS motorized reconnaissance battalion. The famous SS-Leibstandarte
"Adolf Hitler" (mot) (SS motorized regiment "Adolf Hitler")
had only one motorcycle rifle company under the regiment command.

The SS-Reich Division (mot) had three fully motorized SS regiments at
that time and only the 11. SS Infanterie-Regiment (mot) remained one motorcycle
rifle company under the regiment command. The other motorcycle rifle companies
were extracted from the other two regiments to form the SS-Reich Kradschuetzen-Bataillon.
The SS-Reich Aufklaerung-Abteilung (mot) (SS-Reich motorized reconnaissance
battalion) in the division also had one motorcycle reconnaissance company.
The SS-Totenkopf Division (mot) had three fully motorized SS regiments
at that time and each regiment had one motorcycle rifle company under
the regiment command. There were still two motorcycle reconnaissance companies
in the SS-Totenkopf motorized reconnaissance battalion. The SS-Wiking
Division (mot) had three fully motorized SS regiments at that time but
there was no motorcycle rifle company under the regiment command. The
only one motorcycle reconnaissance companies in the division belonged
to the SS-Wiking motorized reconnaissance battalion. Thus only the SS-Reich
Division (mot) had a motorcycle rifle battalion at that time.
The
Kradschuetzen in other motorized Waffen-SS units before Russian Campaign.
The famous Leibstandarte SS-Adolf Hitler (mot) (LSSAH motorized regiment)
was expanded to a brigade on 19th August 1940. The brigade had four fully
motorized SS battalions without organic motorcycle rifle battalion. There
were two motorcycle reconnaissance companies in the motorized reconnaissance
battalion. The SS-Brigade Nord (mot) (SS-Nord motorized brigade) had three
fully motorized SS regiments at that time but there was no motorcycle
rifle company under the regiment command. The only one motorcycle reconnaissance
companies in the brigade belonged to the SS-Nord motorized reconnaissance
battalion. The 1. SS Brigade RFSS was raised in May 1941 with two motorized
SS regiments and one motorized artillery battalion. There was one motorized
reconnaissance company under the brigade command at that time. The 2.
SS Brigade RFSS was raised in May 1941 with two motorized SS regiments.
There was no motorcycle rifle company in the brigade at that time.
