言い換えるならば
特殊技能である読譜や器楽の演奏技能等に左右されずに
音楽を創りだす機会を与えることが出来る
数少ない優れたソフトウエアであると考えています。

　創刊に当たり多くの読者がこれを機に作曲や編曲はては音響技能に興味を持って下さることを、そして互いに楽しめる情報
を交換する場となることを願います。

 The content includes basic usage of MAX objects, explanation of technical terminology,
 also introduction of interfaces which can be provided by MAX and the peripheral software or hardware.

Contributions and participation of readers, who agree the above purpose, would be cordially welcomed.

I believe, MAX provides peculiar but excellent environment presenting opportunity of music making,
which is approachable from a logical and mathematical angle,
in other word, without requiring such technical skill of music as score reading or ability to play a musical instrument,
to a person who wishes to tackling music actively.

 I do hope at the starting of MAX i MUM that lots of readers would be interested in
composition, arrangement, also sound engineering,
 furthermore, here would be a place that
we can exchange enjoyable information each other because of this magazine.
