June Aboard
The Mattison Cruiser

The month of June has been a very busy one for us retired folks! We traveled to North Carolina to give Melanie & Rodney a hand with the kids while they were job interviewing etc. It was a busy week with Madison & Ian! Madison amazed us with her vocabulary and wealth of knowledge for a 2 year old! It was a joy to spend some "alone" time with her! Melanie & Rodney both landed jobs in North Carolina and even found a house while we were there! Melanie will be an Elementary School Counselor in Sanford and Rodney will be teaching High School Math and Environmental Science in the Moore County School District. WOW, fast work!

After a whirlwind time in North Carolina, the "rubberband" brought us back to Valdosta, Georgia for P.J.'s graduation. As usual, a great time was had at Cindy & Pat's! We had the opportunity to even visit with Grandma, Jolinda, Sheryl, Delinda, and Jill. Miranda and Ian were so cute together! Madison had an absolute ball in the pool and trying to keep up with Kyle and Adam. P.J.'s graduation was very nice and on Saturday, we had a baby shower for Cassie.

We slowly moved northward and made a stop over in Virgina and had the opportunity to meet our favorite ROD Representative Rene!! We hope to pay her a visit again in the near future!

We had a wonderful time stopping in Owego to visit our dear friends Carol, Paul, Melissa and Giovanni. It's always great to see them again and I still miss Carol very much. She will always be a very dear friend to me! We also got together with Carol, Paul, Melissa, Giovanni, Melanie, Rodney, Madison, Ian, Ryan, Mary Ann, Terry, Louie, and Ethan. It was a beautiful day for us to gather in the park! We also tried to "make the rounds" while we were in Corning and on the way back to Buffalo, but unfortunately, we weren't able to catch everyone at home. Hopefully we can see everyone before we leave the area in a few weeks!

Daryl finally had the opportunity to visit school and stop in to say "hello" to the teachers and students. We also took a few minutes to ride thru Bennett Hgts. and check out the 'ol neighborhood and visit with Lance & Bev. It was good to see them again! Hopefully we will get to see everyone else soon!

This month has just flown by and shortly Melanie & Rodney will be on there way to North Carolina! We have enjoyed quality time with Madison over these past few weeks! She loves staying in the Motor Home! Ian's Christening was held on June 22 and it was a beautiful day for all of us. Uncle Ryan and Aunt Denise are his Godparents. Ryan's girlfriend, Melissa, from Chicago came for the weekend and we enjoyed meeting her!

Hope all of you are enjoying your summer now that it has finally arrived! We've been pretty discouraged with all of the rain that we've been getting and the last few days have been great!

Please drop us an e-mail or give us a call...we'd love to hear from you!
