I guess life hasn't been as
uneventful as I thought it would be...the month of June was a pretty
hectic one with Daryl "winding down" with the end of the school
year & MJ starting her volunteer job at Golden Gate Elementary School.
Yep, "the boss" roped me into volunteering at school! It was
pretty confusing at first, but little by little, I am
"organizing" the media center in the Resource Room. It's been
quite a challenge starting a data base for all of the resource materials,
but it's making progress slowly but surely. I really don't know how it's
going to be a one day a week volunteer job, but we'll wait and see what
happens!
June 18th, we headed off to Jacksonville Beach, Fla. for our niece's
wedding. Cassie & Chase had a very nice small wedding at the Sunspree
Holiday Inn at Jacksonville Beach. It was a very nice ceremony with Cassie
& Chase writing their own vows and we enjoyed getting together with
family.
After the wedding, we headed to Orlando where Daryl attended a 3-day
"Reading First" Conference.
Then a quick trip back to Naples for Daryl to interview some candidates
for the Assistant Principalship before we headed off to Chattanooga to
meet up with Melanie & family. She was attending a conference in
Chattanooga and we decided to catch up with them there before we headed to
St. Louis for a wedding. We had a wonderful time in Chattanooga doing some
sightseeing & enjoying Madison & Ian! All in all, despite the
rain, we had an enjoyable 5 days.
July brought us to heading out for St. Louis, Missouri and our month of
travelling.
