How I started Quilting and the Results ...
In January of 1996, I saw the Joanne Fabrics Block of the Month kits. I think that I fell in love with quilting right there. I bought both kits for the month and brought them home. I jumped into them not knowing a thing about quilting!! Boy did I learn fast (hee hee). I must have ripped one block out half a dozen times. I finally found a few (read several) quilt mailing lists that I just had to join. I learned a lot from my fellow quilters and I hope I gave a lot back in return. I've actually gotten brave enough to do some handquilting and hope to try several quilting methods. The following quilt pages are another way that I am hoping to give back all that I have learned to other quilters, and to hopefully inspire other struggling newbies or veteran quilters that need a new perspective or a 'fresh' way to look at things. I've posted quilting tips that I learned the hard way before I found quilt mailing lists and the tons of web sites that have given my bookmark file have it's own life ;). There are several poems posted, my quilts of course (including Christmas 1997 that I made 10 quilts in a month), a funny story about how to murder your ruler, a fabriholic test and reasons to defend your addiction, and a lot of links ;).
