Frederick Stephenson was born on 17 February 1888, the tenth and last child of Robert and Mary Stephenson. He was born at 38 Kent Street, Newcastle and his siblings were Edward (b.1869), Jane (b.1871), Thomas (b.1874), Richard (b.1876), Mary (b.1878), George (b.1880), Robert (b.1882), William (b.1884) and Joseph (b.1886). Frederick was married twice and he had three daughters from his first marriage. I don't have any details of his wife or these daughters. His second marriage (to Harriet Ann Wilson) produced Harriet (b.1921), Phyllis (b.1924), Eve (b.1926), Richard (b.1928) and Norah (b.1931). Frederick was a Watchman at the R.D.C. He died on 10 December 1955 at 22 Norfolk Avenue, Silksworth, Sunderland. The death certificate records the cause of death as Carcinoma of the Prostate (Prostate Cancer) and Chronic Bronchitis. |
