When I think about what evokes wonder and awe in me, I think of the morning bus rides to SLUH every day that I take. For the past week or so, there has been an amazing sunrise going to school and going home, a beautiful sunset. When I see these every day, I begin to wonder about how the world came to be and why there are colorful sunsets and sunrises. I am captivated by the sheer beauty of the sky and wonder why the sky appears so colorful. On most mornings going to school, the sun is a shade of orange or light red. The sky around the sun is, depending on the day and the time, purple, pink, red, orange, or yellow. If there are any clouds in the sky, they are dark blue then, as the sun rises, they change colors along with the sky, varying from orange to pink to sometimes red and light purple. I wonder how there can be so many different colors in one sky and how the colors can change over time. God gave us so many beautiful things in this world for us to enjoy that some people don't think about after a first glance at it. If we take time to really look at the world and how it is, then we will find that our world isn't as bad as some people think it is. I see the sky and all the colors of it in the morning as God's little reminder that there is something greater than us in this world that is watching over everyone.
