RICHEY AND YVETTE  by Janey                             <<< part 1

PART 2

Yvette clambering across him to answer the phone, although he had to admit that having her straddle him was no bad thing, rudely awakened Richey.
“Sean will you slow down, please say that again,” Yvette said, leaning forward and kissing Richey on the forehead.  “Oh fuck no!  What time is it?  Oh hell Sean I’m so sorry, I’ll be with you in forty-five minutes tops, I promise.”
“Where’s the fire?” enquired Richey, puzzled as to why she was suddenly flying around like a mad whirling dervish.
“I promised to baby-sit Keira while Sean took Kitty shopping and to the cinema.  Thankfully he thought I may oversleep because we were late leaving so rang to remind me, but I’ve got to hurry up.” Comically she flung jeans and a sweater over some pants and a bra, and then put on some socks and a pair of flat boots.  “Are you going to come with me?”

“Haven’t I done that twice this morning already?” he giggled mischievously, getting out of bed and putting on the same clothes he’d worn the previous night.
Yvette blushed, walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist.  “Trying to tempt me back into bed Richey Edwards?”
“I wish!” he laughed.  “So you don’t mind them knowing about us then?  It’s going to be a bit obvious when I walk in still wearing these clothes.”
“Do you mind?” she asked earnestly.  “I can always take you home first if you prefer.”
“Hey I want to be with you ok?  No hiding away.”
“Good!” happy, she kissed him.  “I’d better splash my face and brush my teeth.”
“And don’t forget your tablets and to put an inhaler in your bag.  I think you left one in that small silly thing you had with you last night.”
“You are so caring and considerate, thank you.”
Reluctantly Richey turned her advances down.  “Come on, we don’t have time to play now, it’ll have to wait.”

“Bloody hell you were quick!” exclaimed Sean, opening the door to Yvette.  “Richey!”
The look on Sean’s face when Richey walked in was a picture and it was more than obvious that he’d noticed that Richey hadn’t changed his clothes.
“Yvette hi!  Come on in!” chirped Kitty happily.  “Hi Richey, thanks for this.  I desperately need some new clothes now that I’ve lost weight after having Keira.”
Richey found it intriguing that Kitty had said nothing about them, almost as though she’d been expecting him to turn up with Yvette.

“It’s no problem, I love taking care of the little mite you know that,” smiled Yvette, walking in to the lounge and watching as Keira slept.  “In fact I warn you now that I may just have to kidnap her.”
“So,” said Sean, curiosity getting the better of him.  “Did you stay at Yvette’s last night Rich?”
“Yeah I did.  Started feeling a bit rough didn’t you love?  So, it made sense to go there because it’s nearer, and very nice it was too!  Until you rang that is.”
“But you never sleep late Richey.”  Clearly Sean was still puzzled.
“Well she had to reach over me to get the phone.”
“You fell asleep on the couch?”

Kitty laughed and kissed her husband warmly.  “Oh darling, sometimes you can be so naïve and I love you for it.”
Finally the light dawned.  “Oh I see!  Well, well.  So is it erm, official then?”
“I guess it is,” Richey grinned, picking up the now crying baby.  “Come on darling.  Come and tell your uncle Richey all about it.”
“About time,” whispered Kitty, standing next to Yvette.  “I’m happy for you both, you make a great couple.”
Yvette blushed and smiled, watching Richey soothing and talking to Keira; he certainly had the magic touch.

When she took Richey back to his apartment he persuaded her to join him for a shower and they ended up in bed, making love.  Expecting to be alone all evening, Yvette wore one of Richey’s long shirts over her briefs, and Richey was wearing a pair of shorts and tight t-shirt.  They enjoyed a light meal of soup and crusty bread and cuddled up on the sofa, watching an old black and white Hitchcock movie.

When there was a knock on the door, Richey was sure that he’d be able to get rid of who ever it was in no time, so, unperturbed, Yvette stayed on the sofa.
“Mum!  Dad! What are you…”
“Oh shit,” muttered Yvette anxiously.  This was not a good way for Sherry and Graham to discover their relationship.  Quickly as she could Yvette raced to Richey’s bedroom, but his parents saw her before she made it.
“Ah that’s why Richey was panicking!” Sherry grinned.  “I’m happy for you, now go and get dressed love!  You’re doing no good for Graham’s blood pressure!”

“Sherry!” laughed Graham, as Yvette disappeared in the bedroom.  “The poor girl’s embarrassed enough as it is without you making it worse.”
“You ok?” asked Richey, joining her.  “I had no idea they were coming or I would have warned you.”
“No harm done,” she laughed nervously.  “Think at how much worse it could have been; at least I wasn’t naked.  Now THAT would have shocked them!”  Now fully dressed she held him in her arms and kissed him.
“I think you’ve made my dad’s day though!”

They entered the lounge and Sherry and Graham were both eager to discover when they had finally admitted their feelings for each other, and both were genuinely happy for them both.
“Do you have any idea how frustrating it’s been watching the pair of you deny what’s been between you?  All those years we’ve dropped hints and conspired to get you on your own, and for what?  Nothing!” Graham sighed in disbelief.  “Still, all’s well that ends well.”

“It’s just started dad,” remarked Richey.
“Oh you know what I mean, son.  Stop being so awkward!”
“Are you going to move in then?” asked Sherry calmly to Yvette.  “Or will Richey move in with you?  You have the bigger place after all.”
“MUM!” said Richey incredulously.  “We’ve only just started so…”
“And you know everything that there is to know about each other, and you get on like a house on fire!  You’ve know each other years so what’s the point in waiting?”

“MUM!” Richey exclaimed, totally shocked.  “I can’t believe it; I thought you’d be against that sort of thing.”
“I’m not naïve Richey,” smiled Sherry warmly.  “Neither of you are virgins and it’s not for me to impose on the way you live your life.”
“Telling us to move in IS imposing mum,” he offered.
“No, it’s giving you our blessing son.  We’re aware that you youngsters don’t tend to get married any more.”
“Been there, done that,” sighed Yvette.  “Not in a hurry to do it again.”
“We’ll see,” Sherry grinned enigmatically.

“I’m sorry about my mother,” Richey said, shaking his head as they cuddled up in bed later that night.
“Ah well, it takes the worry out of how they’ll react when we tell them,” she laughed.  “And you have the satisfaction of knowing that your parents like your girlfriend.  Somehow I don’t think they’ll be making too many more unannounced visits!”
“Hadn’t thought of that!” he grinned mischievously.  “We still have Rachel to tell, don’t know what she’ll think about this.”
“She’ll just want you to be happy Rich.”  Yvette slid her left hand down his body and began to stroke him into arousal.  “We still have Nick and Rachel, James and Maya, Martin, Terri and a thousand and one others to tell.”
“Between my mum and Sean I think we can say that everyone connected with the band will know, apart from the honeymoon couple.  Not even my mother is brazen enough to risk James’ wrath by disturbing his shagfest.”
“It’s phrases like that that make you such a great lyricist baby!”
Richey laughed and then kissed her determinedly, leaving her in no doubt of his intentions.

“You missed a bit,” giggled Yvette joining Richey under the steaming jets of water from the shower.
“What bit would that be?” he asked petulantly.
“This big bit right here,” she whispered, taking hold of his dick and lathering it with bubbles from the shower gel.  “Strange how it keeps getting bigger and bigger isn’t it?”
“I warn you that if you keep doing that it’s going to get whole lot bigger and a lot more messy!” he panted.
“Can get as messy as we like,” she smirked.  “After all, we’re in the right place to get cleaned up again aren’t we?”
Richey threw his head back and whimpered.

“Tell me to get lost if I’m pushing my luck here,” offered Richey pulling on a pair of black trousers.  “But why don’t I take some stuff to your house and you bring some here?  If we’re going to be stopping over if we means we always have stuff.”
“And will I be the one who gets to wash it for you?” she teased.
“I could beg if you like!” he commented jovially, wrapping his arms around her and nibbling at her neck.
“No need.  It sounds like a great idea; in fact I’ll clear some space for you in the drawers, the wardrobes and the bathroom.”  She started laughing.
“What’s so funny?”
“Thinking of what you’re mum said yesterday when I said I’d been there, done that and not in a hurry to do it again!”
“That was about marriage gorgeous!” He nuzzled beneath her right earlobe and sighed when she shivered against him.
“And how many times have I said I couldn’t live with anyone ever again but this is the first step isn’t it?”

Richey spun her round.  “Hey, if you’re not sure it’s ok to say so you know.”  Tenderly he stroked his thumbs over her face and gave her a light kiss.
“This is just my way of saying forgive me if I’m a grumpy cow!  I’m not used to having anybody else to consider but me.”
“You can always tell me to piss off back here!”
“I think that it’s more likely to be you walking out because you’re fed up of me.”
“I doubt that very much,” he drawled, his hands roaming under her jumper and lightly floating over her breasts, then moving them to her back and unhooking her bra.  “It’s just not feasible you see.”
“Oh damn,” she whimpered, her jumper and bra landing on the floor.
“It’s not as if we have anywhere special to go is it?” he asked lasciviously.  “So why not stay in bed and have some fun?”
“We’ve showered.”
“So, we’ll have another one.”
“Oh.”

Anxiously Richey walked around the dining table perusing the place settings and fiddling nervously with the neatly folded napkins.
“Hey,” whispered Yvette, creeping behind him and giving him a cuddle.  “Calm down, it’s not as if any of them bite is it now?”
“I still say that we should have just told them all.”
“We are going to tell them sweetheart.”  Tenderly she nuzzled his strong jaw line and put her hands in his trouser pockets and teased him.
“But all this fuss!” he moaned.  “Telling them anyhow would be hard enough without this.”
“Gee thanks Richey!” she said ironically.
“You know what I’m like around a lot of people, even close friends and family; I find it difficult.”

Gradually the guests arrived and Richey managed to relax enough to enjoy the first two courses of their meal, but then his mother had to say something!
“Ok, so what exactly is the special occasion?” she asked wrinkling her nose up and smiling.
“Mother!” gasped Rachel in exasperation.  “Will you just wait, they’ll tell us when they’re ready!”
Richey shuffled in his chair, his mother glared at him and then he knew he couldn’t escape this one, so went to the opposite end of the table and held Yvette’s hand.  “We’re going to bore you silly with pictures from our Dominican holiday,” he smiled.  “You see, what we didn’t tell you, was that we were getting married out there.”

“You got married?” all of their guests cried at the same time.
“Don’t be mad at us, but we just wanted a quiet wedding, so when we arranged this little holiday six months ago we purposely got a wedding package as well.” Richey saw the bemused look on his mum’s face.  “Don’t worry mum!  We’ve booked the church for a blessing; the erm, only problem is that it’s in two weeks time, which I know is rather short notice.”
“You’re not bloody kidding!” exclaimed Martin, but then shock gave way to genuine happiness and he smiled gleefully.  “More notice would have been good, but that’s wonderful.  Really, it is.”

Rachel got up, walked round the table and gave her brother and Yvette a huge hug.  “Good on you for running off and doing it your way!”
“Erm, that’s not all,” stuttered Richey.  “The week before we left we discovered that Yvette’s having our first baby, so her rounded stomach isn’t because she ate too much but because she’s 15 weeks pregnant.”
Yvette grinned and proudly stood up and gave her husband a kiss. “I love you,” she beamed.
Sherry started crying.  “I’m sorry,” she muttered.  “I’m just so happy!”
“Oh mum!”  Richey could not hold onto his tears any longer.

Martin proposed a toast to the happy couple and they all hugged and chatted before finally settling again to have pudding, and then see the wedding pics and video that they brought back with them.  Needless to say Sherry became very emotional, but Yvette and Richey had had the foresight to get copies of the pics printed for everyone, and they also gave everyone a copy of the video along with the invitations to the blessing and the celebration party after.

The End.
