This breed is known to many overseas as a "silkie"

This is a longhaired version of the typical short/smooth coated cavy.

It has long silky hair that falls away from the face.

When exhibited, the hair is parted down the spine, while the hair on the back of the neck (known as the mane) is combed back towards the rump so there appears to be no parting of the hair.
