This is the longhaired version of the shorthaired crested cavy, but unlike its shorthaired counterpart, this breed may be of any colour. | ||||||||||||||||||
The crest is positioned equally between the eyes and the ears and forms a circle with a deep centre. | ||||||||||||||||||

When exhibited on the show table (in Australia only) the coronet's hair is parted down the centre - starting at the base of the neck, continuing down to the rump. | ||||||||||||||||||
