Whenever a cavy does well at a show (best of breed or higher) they earn points.  These points go towards their "CHAMPIONSHIP"

When a cavy earns 20 POINTS they become a CHAMPION

When a cavy earns 40 POINTS they become a DOUBLE CHAMPION

please note: this is   the Championship point system used in New South Wales,  and is not necessarily he process or point score system used in other states Scroll down to view the NSW Point Score System currently used

When a cavy earns 60 POINTS they become a GRAND CHAMPION

The following is the point system used in NSW (New South Wales).  All points earned count towards a cavy's championship

BEST OF BREED = 2 POINTS BEST IN GROUP = 2 POINTS RESERVE IN SHOW = 1 POINT BEST BABY CAVY IN SHOW = 1 POINT BEST JUNIOR CAVY IN SHOW = 1 POINT BEST ADULT CAVY IN SHOW = 1 POINT BEST IN SHOW = 2 POINTS

The cavy that win BEST IN SHOW will received a total of 7 points for the day: 2 points for a Best of Breed 2 points for a Best in Group 2 points for a Best in Show 1 point for being either the Best Adult, Junior or Baby in Show
