during my interview
A message for Charlie
Q: Did you have any scenes with Malcolm McDowell?
A: You know I didn't get any scenes with Malcolm because I never interact with him, I interacted with him off set. He is amazing and awesome, I love him. I am also friends with his son.
Q: Charlie.
A: Yes, do you know Charlie?
Q: I've interviewed him. He did Bye Bye Benjamin.
A: Yeah, exactly. My friend Eli who I went to school with is his...
Q: Writing partner. Small world!
A: I know! Because I know Eli and Charlie, Malcolm and I kinda connected at the reading. Not only is he an awesome guy, he's an awesome actor, an amazing actor he's just a really good guy, he's so down to earth which is so cool.
Q: Did you see Bye Bye Benjamin?
A: I did, yeah. It was awesome. Can you believe for a short student film how good it was?
Q: Charlie sent me the DVD and I was hoping it was good because what would I say if it wasn't?
A: Yeah, I know! (Laughs) I think that was probably the best student short film that I've ever seen.
Q: With help from the all star family cast.
A: (Laughs) Yeah, well then again if you can get Malcolm who is your father to act in your student short film you are probably gonna have a great one...who else was in there?
Q: Ted Danson.
A: Right. It is so funny.
Q: I think Charlie is like his dad it that they have the same sense of humor.
A: Yeah, Charlie's quiet. He's quiet...nicely. I don't know, I guess Malcolm is a little bit more outgoing.
Q: Because Charlie is behind the camera.
A: Exactly, exactly. You can never generalize people. You put a
few drinks in them and they'll start talking! (Laughs)
(Udo Kier comes over and starts asking her questions about her photos and she
talks to him) Sorry, I'm speaking German to Udo. We have to exchange photos and
now Udo wants one from me. It's so funny, I haven't been able to really move
around and talk to other people, but I will soon. My friends that came on the
train from New York today, they arrived so wasted and I'm like you guys must be
kidding me. I actually said to them, 'I'm not introducing you to Malcolm like
this!' If you want to meet him, it's not when you are like this. You are going
to have to wait until tomorrow.
Q: Are you going to be in one of Charlie's films?
A: Honestly, I wish he was doing something and would cast me. Hey Charlie are you going to cast me in your next movie?
Q: He said he was going to do a full length Bye Bye Benjamin.
A: Oh, I could be one of the office workers. I could be a young executive that gives Benjamin a talking to.
Q: You could be his date.
A: I could be his date! Oh my god, I forgot he's like a little old man right? He would actually date older women.
Q: I liked when he fires Ted Danson and they are saying they go way back, how long could he have known him?
A: I know! (Laughs) I think Charlie is definitely coming to the premiere so maybe if he sees my work...since Eli and I went to school together he's seen lots of my plays and stuff. I hope to work with him. (Someone comes up with skull clothes) What are they called - I love Sherrie's outfits, she made these shirts.
Q: Total Skull.
A: Yeah! I love them, so I'm always telling everyone to go buy them. I'm sorry I'm just talking...that was a really nice guy, I'm unfortunately unavailable right now.
Q: Did you get to have any interaction with Malcolm off set?
A: I joked with Charlie actually. He said 'If you don't have a scene with my dad he's going to go to your house with some camera and go Kristina, Rob told me we should just film something to add into the movie. Like you know....you being really nice to me.' (Laughs) I don't know! We would joke back and forth that we wished we had a scene together. I would've loved to have worked with Malcolm, but next time.
Q: Did you get called back for the reshoots?
A: I did. I have to go soon because I have to go to the bathroom really badly. Just so everyone knows my bladder's about to burst.
Q: What's your favorite Malcolm film?
A: I think the obvious answer would be A Clockwork Orange! (Laughs) But it's also one of my favorite books.
Q: Do you care about the whole remake controversy?
A: No. I wasn't really that into the whole thing before I got cast in the movie. So I actually never watched the (original) movie until after shooting and then I realized on the Internet that a lot of people were into the comparison between the two movies. I think it's great to compare, but it's 30 years later and I think Rob Zombie is amazing so it's just going to be great.
Q: It'll be totally different since it's more hardcore.
A: Yeah, exactly, but our society is much more hardcore.
Q: More violent. So how was Rob's direction of you?
A: He was awesome and I really think he's just an amazing artist. I would love to work with him again.
