Scan from the interview

Q: Did you have any scenes with Malcolm McDowell?

A: I do, but barely any dialog. (Laughs)

Q: Anything you can elaborate on?

A: Loomis finds me at the end of the movie and I'm blubbering for my life.

Q: Were you called back for the reshoots?

A: No, I didn't do any of the reshoots.

Q: How was Rob's direction for you?

A: Awesome, very free. We pretty much got to do whatever the hell we wanted to.

Q: Did you do a lot of ad libbing?

A: A LOT of ad libbing, yes.

Q: Did you like that?

A: It's great, he trusts us you know? It's scary to give an actor permission to ad lib on film.

Q: Did you get to hang out with Malcolm at all off set?

A: Oh yeah, we were on set days when we didn't have scenes together when we weren't working on set.

Q: Did you talk about anything exciting?

A: Oh god, we talked about all kinds of random stuff. I couldn't even remember what we talked about...we talked about traveling, women, children, boyfriends and all kinds of things.

Q: What's your opinion about the remake controversy?

A: You know everyone has got their opinion. I don't really think of it as a remake. I think that if you love Rob Zombie you are going to love the movie and if you don't like Rob Zombie's style you are probably not going to like the movie. Everybody's so opinionated about remakes and I think it's sort of a reinvisioning. It's very different than the original so I don't know...the same people that talk shit about it will go see it 5 times just to say how bad it is, so go right ahead. Go right ahead!

Q: You are closer to the original than anyone since you were in 2 of the sequels, so it doesn't bother you at all?

A: I could care less.

Q: Are you a fan of the original?

A: Oh, yeah, absolutely. I think this is a great movie from what I've seen. A great movie. It's scary, it's beautiful, it's a lot to watch, but I think he did a really good job with it.

Q: You haven't seen the whole thing then?

A: No, I haven't seen it all together yet, I've seen pieces of it.

Q: How would you compare it to the original?

A: I think there are similarities, I think he kept it true to the original, but I think he put his flavor on it which is great. I think he's very talented.

Q: A lot more intense?

A: Oh, yeah. It's 30 years, film has changed, so it's time to change it. I think if the original Halloween film came out right now everybody would be like 'this is boring...yawn...' kids would not think it's cool at all. But our generation is a little bit different because it kind of started horror movies, I mean it started those kind of movies. I think this a great beginning for the new generation.
