Disclaimer/Author’s Notes: You all know the previous notes in chapter 1-4, so I’m not going to continue repeating myself. Icewind, Portarel and Kekchole are new characters, which belong to me.
Two Sisters
In the depths of the underground, a beautiful woman sat upon a throne that once belonged to her brother Jareth. She wore a black long sleeve dress with slits up either side of the legs and gold armor over her torso. Everyone knew the woman by Leetris, queen of evil. As far back as she could remember, she didn’t want Jareth to part of the family but he was and from him being the first male, he was rightly the ruler of the Underground when it should have been her.
Leetris watched as Jareth’s minions stood before and waited for her instructions. Standing before her were Ludo, Hoggle and Didymus. She had the goblins send for three creatures of the Labyrinth. “My baby brother King Jareth somehow escaped!” Leetris bellowed. “How did he escape?”
“My queen,” Hoggle said. “There was some form of magic that helped him to escape. One minute I was standing in front of him as he was pleading that he was my king and the next he disappeared without a trace.”
“My sister, Hellaka, must have had something to do with it. She can get into people’s dreams and she escaped two months ago.” Leetris looked towards Didymus. “Sir Didymus, who defeated the Labyrinth?”
“I do not know milady,” he said in his noble voice.
“Damn,” Leetris said. She stood from the throne, “I want you all to remember who was the person who defeated this Labyrinth and it’s former King and I want to know NOW!!!” At the thundering of her voice, everyone left the throne.
“Who ever helped Jareth to escape,” she said, sitting back down, “will be the person who defeated his Labyrinth for they would not be able to get along.” As Leetris pondered on Jareth’s escape, she did not realize that she was being watched. The watcher stayed well hidden in the darken shadows of the castle. The figure in the shadows disappeared before they had they chance to be found and returned to his realm, the Dream Realm and waited for his queen to return from Earth.

Aboveground, Sarah and Jareth were walking slowly towards her school. Before she went to school, she had to figure some things out. For one, what to do with Jareth? Where should he stay while she was in school? She knew he was in danger and was at risk at being found. On the other hand, she had to go to school and keep up with the school events. Jareth and Sarah were silent most of the way to school until Jareth remembered about Sarah’s play.
“Sarah,” Jareth said. “What is this Drama play?”
“It’s…ah…” Sarah didn’t know what to say. “Labyrinth.”
“So that’s how you basically defeated me,” Jareth said with a slight smile at her discomfort.
“What do you mean?”
“The day you met me, I watched you in the park when you playing dress up and reciting the words that defeated me.”
“How could you watch me, you weren’t even there.” Sarah stopped and stared at Jareth.
“Oh yes I was. I was that barn owl,” Jareth said.
“The…barn owl,” Sarah said in shock. She remembered when she was reciting the words; she saw an owl and it appeared to be staring at her. Sarah suddenly felt light headed. She started to slightly fall when Jareth caught her.
“There is more you must know,” Jareth said. “I had watched you when you when you brought out this red binding book and I knew it was the book on the Labyrinth.”
“How…how is that possible?” she asked weakly. She was trying to stand on her own feet but her feet didn’t want to stand.
Jareth walked Sarah over to a nearby bench and sat down. “The play ‘Labyrinth’ was created by my mother. For centuries the Labyrinth has been passed down by every person and over time, it became a storybook instead of an actual place. My mother created the book to let people know of the Underground.
“But over time, the Labyrinth was forgotten to this world except for the kids and young teens who loved the book so much that they believed in the words of wishing the younger sibling away.”
“This is too much for me to handle. First, I have to help the man who took my brother way from his wicked sister. I’ve basically just been told of the family history in brief detail and now my world is being turned upside down because of it,” Sarah said with exhaustion.
As Jareth and Sarah sat on the bench, a young woman, hidden in the shadows, watched them. She was particularly interested in how close they were together. She had to find away to get the two together and for the meantime it was working to her advantage. She felt quite revealed seeing Jareth with Sarah.
Hellaka watched the two for a few minutes longer before she disappeared to her dream realm. When she returned to the realm, a faint smile was placed upon her lips.
“Milady,” a creature came up to her.
Hellaka turned to see her trusted advisor, a talking Pegasus. “Yes, Icewind,” she said.
“Your sister has learned of King Jareth’s escape,” Icewind said. “She has organized a search for him and the girl who defeated him.”
“That means I have to reveal my presence to Sarah sooner than expected. Jareth and Sarah must become friends.”
“But you have already told the girl that she needs to become friends with him,” Icewind said.
“That may not be enough. So far, they are getting closer,” Hellaka said. “If I can get her to admit her feelings for my brother, there won’t be any problems. But she has to come out and say that she loves him in order for him to have chance on throne. There is a way for my brother to be back on the throne without her confessing her love but we can’t completely count on it.
If my sister was to find out that Sarah loves him and she doesn’t admit it, Leetris can use that to her advantage. We have to stop that at all costs. Icewind, is there any way for Sarah and Jareth to avoid the porthole to the Underground?”
“Yes, but I will have to awaken the gate keepers, Portarel and Kekchole.”
“Good, get on it. We have to delay their return as long as possible,” Hellaka said. Icewind turned and flew away, leaving Hellaka alone.
(Sorry for taking so long, not much computer time lately. Soon that will be remedied a bit. I did at first decided that Jareth and Sarah were going to return to the Underground in this chapter but Sorceress Morgana gave me an idea to delay it a little longer, have some confrontation Aboveground before returning to the Labyrinth Thanks Sorceress Morgana)
