This is a poem I wrote, and it goes out to every woman who ever graced this earth. Every Woman Is A Warrior A man sees a woman A warrior He knows not how to react As she duels with others You watch her Srong, beautiful, swift Who is this woman warrior whom has caught you eye? She is like the elements of Mother Nature She brings forth life on this land She is wise Cannot fool this maiden You stand, looking This is the kind of woman you want in your life, yes? Then she sees you And walks toward you stepping lightly Like walking on air, such grace is this Then she speaks to you "Why is it you eye me, my friend?" "You are of such beauty, I am in awe." "Listen sweet one, these words are kind, but you are mistaken in what your eyes see." What is this she speaks of, your eyes are wide open "Every woman is a warrior Be it if she fights with words, or with blades of steel No matter what she looks like tall, short, pale, golden She is a warrior Of beauty, of strength, of skill When the Gods made women They used all things exotic and pure Every woman is a warrior my friend Yet not every woman knows it" -A.M.P, 2001 Click Fire for Tales and here for home. |
