Patientia

Asteroid 451, Patientia, was discovered on December 4, 1899 by Auguste Charlois at Nice, France. It has a period of 5 years, 133 days and is slightly less than 84 miles in diameter. Patientia means "patience" in Latin.

Patientia seems to indicate astrologically what its name means, patience, or perhaps "patients", that is, people receiving or who should be receiving medical or psychiatric treatment.

Mahatma Gandhi had Patientia square Uranus (activism).

Nelson Mandela has Patientia square Mercury (thoughts, ideas, speech) and Saturn (work, career, rewards) and quincunx Juno (the disadvantaged, marriage).

St. Bernadette of Lourdes, who lived in poverty and died of tuberculosis of the bone, has Patientia square Venus (values, relating).

HIV-positive pro basketball star Earvin "Magic" Johnson, who contracted HIV through sexual promiscuity, has Patientia quindecile Chiron (self-wounding).

Kimberly Bergalis (born January 19, 1968, in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania), a Florida woman who contracted HIV through her dentist and spoke out for mandatory disclosure of HIV-positive status and testing of health-care workers before dying of AIDS in 1991, had Patientia conjunct Mercury.

Jessica Lynch has Patientia trine Mars (the military) and quincunx Venus.

Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber, has Patientia opposite Juno (irrational rage, giving away power, relationships).

Dance legend Vaclav Nijinsky, who died in a mental institution, had Patientia conjunct the Sun (to shine) in the fifth house.

The glyph for Patientia is mine; it incorporates the master number 22, number of building, which reduces to the Saturn number 4. Notice the similarity to the glyph for Vesta.
