What is Mahjong
Fair and Honest League
This brand new Mahjong League has been created to promote fair and
honest mahjong games. The purpose of this league is to provide an
alternative ladder system to Yahoo's as well as frequent Mahjong
Tourneys to all league members. All games are to be played in Veteran's
Vortex. This league should not be viewed as a replacement for Veteran's
Votrex. It should work hand-in-hand with Veteran's Vortex. Players should
feel free to play normal Veteran's Vortex games or League games. Everyone
is invited to join the league. No one will be turned away, unless they
break the rules of conduct below.
- Competitive Ladder System - This is
similar to normal ladder system. Losers of games are expected to
report their losses. The results are then posted to the ladder and
positions of the players are adjusted. Players can challenge players
of lower ranking, and the games must be honored in a fixed number of
days. Refer to Case's Ladder pages on Getting
Started and Rules
for additional instructions, information, and tips.
- Tournaments - These tournaments
(tourneys) are created by and run by Tourney Directors (TDs). Each
game played in a tourney will be reported to the ladder system after
the tourney ends. As the number of players and tournaments build up,
it is possible to have ‘ladder bux’ awarded to winners and runner-up’s
of the tourneys. These bux may be used to buy cool things from the
Case Ladder website. Bux fees may also be charged for an entry into
certain ‘high bux’ tourneys.

Playing
in a Tourney (now available)
- A Tourney Director (TD) will announce the time, number of players,
and the Jump# of the tourney in the Veteran's Vortex lobby.
- When he announces that the Registration is open, the players then
register for the tourney.
- Go to HTTP://WWW.MYLEAGUE.COM/MAHJONG, then enter the jump
number in the jump# box in the navigation column on the left then
click enter. (You can also look for the Tourney in the Tourney
Calendar but it often takes longer to appear there.)

- When the TD announces that Check-In is open, the registered players
may then go to the Teams/Check-in Page for the tourney and check-in if
they were not already checked in.
- When Check-In is closed, the pairings will be posted. To see the
pairings and find out who your opponents are, refresh the tournament
page where you register. You should see a new link called STANDINGS.
Click on this link and you will see the pairings.
- Go find your opponents and proceed to play your game with the
settings the TD has requested.
- When the game is complete, report your wins or losses to the TD.
DO NOT REPORT THE LOSS AT CASE'S WEBSITE, THE TD WILL HANDLE THAT.
- If you need to contact the TD at any time, please use Yahoo! Messenger
instead of an instant message from inside the game or entering active tables.
This keeps game interuptions to a minimum and will not overtake what the TD is
typing at the time.
Rules
of Conduct
- Players will be courteous to other players of the league and to
the TDs.
- Force Forfeiting (FF) is not allowed during league games. A player
that FFs a league game will be removed from the league. We have no
control over non-league games and will not remove players based on
FFing in non-league Yahoo! games.
