My Valentine

MATERIALS NEEDED:

FILTERS NEEDED:

Penta.com

IC Net Software's Filters Unlimited.

FM Tile Tools.

Download the filters here

Safe the mask in your Masks Folder.

Safe the brush to your Brushes folder

or import it into PSP.

Open all the images in PSP.

 

This tutorial is written for a script.

It can be found in the zip file

of the 'Nature" tutorial.

You can view an example of the script here.

 

1. Open a new transparent canvas, size 600x450px.

Fill with white.

 

2. Apply Effects -- Filter Effects -- Filters Unlimited

-- Paper Texture -- Canvas fine.

 

 

3. Add a new raster layer.

Fill with this color #7e0c0c.

 

4. Go to Layers -- Load/Save Mask -- Load Mask from Disk.

Find the 'Sarah1'-mask and apply.

 

5. Merge the group in your Layers palette.

 

6. Apply a drop shadow with these settings:

 1,1,100,0 color black.

 

7. Apply Effects -- Filter Effects -- Penta.com -- Dots & Cross

with these settings: 22,10,2.

 

8. Apply Effects -- Edge Effects -- Enhance.

 

9. Reduce the opacity of this layer to 50%

in your Layers palette.

 

10. Merge all layers.

 

11. Apply Effects -- Image Effects -- Seamless Tiling

with these settings:

 

12. Open the valentine tube.

Copy and paste as a new layer.

Center it nicely in the middle.

Reduce the opacity of this layer to 40%.

 

13. Open the lady tube.

Copy and paste a new layer onto the canvas.

Position it to the left of the other image.

Reduce the opacity of this layer to 60%.

 

14. Activate your Eraser Tool and

erase the parts overlapping the edges and hearts

as seen in the example above.

 

15. Open the man tube.

Copy and paste as new layer.

Position it to the right.

Reduce the opacity of this layer to 40%.

 

 

16. Erase the parts that overlap the edges.

 

17. Add a new raster layer.

 

18. Activate your Brush tool.

Find the ' brucheAgi-confucius beauty'.

Apply it nicely at the bottom of the canvas with this color #7e0c0c.

 

19. Apply a drop shadow

with these settings: 1,1,100,0.

 

20. Lock the bottom layer in your Layers palette.

Highlight one of the other layers.

Merge layers visible.

 

21.Apply  Effects -- Filter Effects -- FM Tile Tools --

Blend Emboss - with the default settings.

 

22. Apply Effects -- Filter Effects -- Xero -- Porcelain

with these settings:

 50,128,128, 255,0,0.

 

23. Add your watermark.

Merge all layers.

 

24. Repeat step 11.

 

Your image is ready for the script.

Remember to change the color of the beams.

You can use this color #7e0c0c.
