~*~ Problems
with opening Zip-files ~*~
****
Dear PSPer,
Since the launch of Internet Explorer 7, many people have
experienced problems in opening the zip files
provided in the tutorials.
This is Jeannette's advice on how to overcome the problem:
1. |
Open a new folder on your pc which
you can name 'zipfiles'. |
2. |
Download the supply-zips, but
instead of opening them, click on 'save as' instead. Save it
in the newly created folder named 'zipfile'. |
3. |
Open the zipfile- folder.
Dubble-click on the zip to open it. |
4. |
Select all the materials. Copy it.
Find the file where you want to store the supplies and paste
it in that file. |
5. |
Open PSP and open your psp browser.
On the left is the scroll-down menu.
When you click on your file in there, the supplies will appear
in the right menu. See below:
 |
|
This is the only way that works
without ever having problems with the zips!
All Jeannette's supplies is being zipped with Winzip, which
is a standard feature of Windows XP.
WinRar is not used.
|
~*~ How to unpack the supplies with WinRar ~*~
1. |
Right-click with
your mouse button on the zip. |
2. |
A dropdown-menu will
open. |
3. |
Choose the option
'open with ' |
4. |
A new menu will open
in which you can choose WinRar.
Otherwise you can choose a program to open it with.

|
5. |
Now follow the same
steps as with Winzip. |
Jeannette's website attracts
many visitors and can become overcrowded
at times.
Wait for an hour or two and try again.
All the zipfiles have been tested and they work.

Note from Maggie:
If you experience too many problems in downloading
the zips in Internet Explorer, download
the Mozilla or Firefox browsers
and use these browsers to open tutorials.
I personally use Mozilla and have never encountered problems
in downloading and opening the zips.
Alternatively you can use a free Download Accelerator
(which I use with my very slow connection)
and it seems to work perfectly where it is allowed to be used.
This way I have no problems with zips.
Good luck !!
