He immediately started college a month after graduation. He majored in ecology continuing his fascination with plant and animal connection. He also, in his ten years of study, minored in botany and meteorology.

The next eight years went smoothly. He spent most of his time in the lab doing research. He didn’t really date much because he didn’t feel comfortable and he was totally oblivious to how society worked. Not to mention he was just like the absent-minded professor. He could never remember most of his dates and even physicians’ appointments either.

One night, late after the lab had closed and Kermit was finally making his way into his apartment the phone rang. It was a mysterious Mr. Jean-Michaels offering him a job. The position offered more but Kermit was skeptical and refused the job. Mr. Michaels gave him a bank account number to check first thing in the morning.

Curiously Kermit went to the bank mentioned in the conversation the night before and was told there was an account number under his name. The sum inside the account was larger that Mr. Michaels had said, much larger. He withdrew the money and took it to a new bank under an assumed name until he could put it into his account in Zurich. Later that night around the same time Mr. Michaels again contacted Kermit and he accepted the job with a littler persuasion. Mr. Michaels told him to stay at his old job until he was contacted again. The money would still be coming to him monthly through the first account.

A year and a half later Mr. Michaels contacted him a third time and he received another installment upon arriving in the U.S.
