When Giovanni was sixteen he lied about his age and joined the navy. He was playful with his other seamen recruits but always got his job done, occasionally getting into trouble for his immature actions. Even though he acted like a child he was still respected by all and quickly moved up in the navy.

Six years later, after many assignments for his country, some successful some failed he was promoted one last time as a Lieutenant Commander. His life was at a high point; he had friends, women, and a wonderful life long career ahead of him that only seemed to be getting better.

A month after his promotion he received a phone call from a Mr. Jean-Michaels. He was offered twice as much money to work for Mr. Michaels if her would retire from the navy. Giovanni accepted because his term in the navy was ending in four months and he would get more money working for Mr. Michaels that if he would re-enlist in the navy for another term. When his four months were up he hopped a plain to Miami to start his new life with a much bigger paycheck.
