My world is at war with itself

Struggling to survive the murderous deception

My person has become.

The thoughts that swim in my head

Explode with guilt, grief and madness.

This is my happiness

Time ticks by and I feel death approaching

Slowly, painfully.

The swing of the pendulum

A ravenous monster devouring my soul.

I am happy.

Desperately I yearn to claw my way out

Of this pit of black despair

And reach the divine light.

But heavy sorrow has stolen my heart

Swallowing me whole.

I am my own tortured executioner.

I am happy.

You are blind.

I am insane.
