A Vampire

The world is full of life and I am a vampire.
Not living. Not dying. Everlasting.
Travelling in and out of time. Everywhere.
My placement in this world is outcast. And yet
I am here. Immortal. Endless.
My only desire is for the life all around me
Never fulfilled.
I am stuck between.
A creature of nightly fears. I prowl. Searching for
A way out. Still clinging to the promise of undeath.
My victims willingly succumb to my dark, deadly embrace.
My fierce eyes and seductive presence power them. Every time.
My fangs; the instrument of my existence;
Rip through their delicate tissues. Plunging deeply
Into the river of blood that has become my ultimate goal.
Sucking passionately, I drink my fill.
Letting the limp bodies drop as they all do. Nameless.
I am a vampire.
Travelling in and out of time.
Stuck between.
