Physician-Assisted Suicide
What is Physician-Assisted Suicide?
Background
We make many choices in our every day lives.  What we decide does not only affect us, but our family, friends and our surroundings.  Imagine in a distant date from now: You are in severe agony, pain and practically near-death.  What would you do?  There really isn't much for you to do except lay in that hospital bed waiting for your body to give up.  Picture yourself being hooked up to many tubes, life support and unable to talk or to perform most of your body functions due to the suffering and pain of your condition.  Would you like a choice? A choice to rest in peace?  A choice to end the suffering?  Well, as of now, in 49 states but Oregon, you do not have the choice to end the agony.  After all, it's our bodies.  Shouldn't we have the right to decide what's right for our bodies? It's not as easy as it seems.  Who are we to force others to live out their last days in agony and melancholy?  Please utilize the options on the right why legalizing physician-assisted suicide gives you the choice that many other terminally ill patients would like.
