Hi. I'm LessZoä. Well... that's a mash-up of my first and middle name actually. My first name is Lessie. No, I'm not a lesbian (although I have many lesbian friends). Yes, in England (Ireland as well) a "lessie" is a lesbian. In Australia, Lessie is the name of a band. But no, that isn't me either. I'm just a girl, dealing with the twisted humor of the Universe as I struggle to make the right decisions.

So why LessZoä? Well, that's kinda interesting. I like my name. Contrary to my childhood attitude of hating my whole name, I realize just how unique it really is and that suits me just as well.

Lessie Irish gaelic, meaning "young girl". My paternal grandmother's name as well.

Zoä Greek, related to "light" I'm told, but don't hold me to that. My maternal grandmother's middle name.

My maternal grandmother ran a ceramic business and named it "Zoä of Hawaii". Well, I'm registering "LessZoä of Hawai‘i" as a business name, and it will encompass my internet endeavors and fine art sales. Kind of a homage to my grandmothers, and a continuation of tradition I think. Although I don't plan on making the same mistakes the maternal grandmother made.
