"NICK!" Kaitie woke up screaming his name. "Nick" she sobbed, remembering 'nick' wasn't here anymore. she let her mind wander back to when she first met him

**flashback 1 year ago**

Kaitie was in a very crowed airport in California and was on her way to Florida to see her friend Amy when in line to get through security she saw a BUNCH of girls following these five fine guys. suddenly one girl, probably thirteen or so screamed, "NICK!! i love you!"

"oh," Kaitie thought "it's those Backstreet Boys. poor guys absolutely no privacy or personal lives. it's too bad i couldn't help them, that Nick fella is kinda hot."just then a few security guards pried the girls off the guys. they came to stand in the same line as Kaitie.

"oh just WUNNERFUL" she thought < now i have to be on the same plane as them? i just hope no thirteen year olds are gonna be on this plane> Kaitie finally got through security and took her seat on the plane b14, right next to..... Nick Carter!

"oh my gawd" she kept thinking "this is not happening! if i sit next to him i will make a total ass out of myself! i just know it." Nick eyed her as she sat down, "wow" he thought "she is gorgous! i hope i can get acquainted" Kaitie smiled at him. Nick could feel himself melt into a nick puddle. Nick was about to say something when just then the flight attendant announced that they should buckle up and demostrated emergancy procedures. the take off was really bumpy, and they hit a turbulance right after they got to cruisiing altitude, which made Kaitie fall over across Nicks lap.

"Oh, OH" Kaitie stammered " I-I'm So sorry"

Nick smiled at her " thats okay. My name is Nick. What is yours?" Kaitie blushed and replied "Kaitie"

"Kaitie, thats a pretty name, so Kaitie where are you from?"

"I'm originally from Florida , but now i live in California, where are you from?"

Nick was pleased she didn't know he was from the backstreet boys and if she did boy did she hide it good."i am from Florida. So, where are you originally from in Florida? I'm from Orlando."

"Orlando, so is my friend she lives in the Glenwood Sub, ever heard of that place?"

"really? thats where I live! What street is she on? I live on Baker"

"My friend lives on Baker too! Do you know her? her name is Amy Stancer"

"yeah. I think is she the girl who owns the ugly Shar-pei dog-thingy or whatever you want to call it,"

" yeah. Spike. that dog is truly a work of nature" Kaitie laughed and so did Nick

"we are now descending, please fasten you seat belt" the stewardess announced over the intercom

"DESCENDING? Already?" Kaitie said

"yep. I guess so, um would you like to exchange numbers?" Kaitie smiled "sure" they exchanged numbers and prepared for the decent

**end of flash back**

Kaitie smiled as she thought about the first day she met him. Just then. BOOM....thunder sounded and lightening flashed, it caught the reflection of something, she looked over to see what it was. a ring. A diamond ring. she picked it up and looked at it. It was her engagement ring. it started fresh tears as she thought about that day a few weeks ago where she thought not a thing could go wrong in the world.

**flash back: 3 weeks a ago**

"Nick, where are we going?"

"you'll see"

"okay, but if i don't know where we are going can i put on the radio?" she knew Nick couldn't stand her favorite radio station X107.8

"Uh, as long as you don't put on X107.8"

"nope! not unless you tell me where we are going" he looked over at her and put on this incredible puppy dog face.

"and don't you be givin' me that face! i ain't falling for it!"

"fine you can put X107.8 on" she flipped on the radio just as one of the backstreets boys singles "as long as you love me" came on.

"TURN IT OFF!!!" that was nick at it again he hated to hear himself sing, she would probably hear about it in a second

" you know I HATE to hear myself sing"

"uh-uh, not until you tell me where we are going."

"fine! we are going to the beach. are you happy now? will you PLEASE turn the radio off?" i smiled, happy that i knew where we were going now. i flipped the radio off.

"there you baby, happy now?"

"yes." just then we reached the beach. it was so beautiful, the water was so pretty and soothing

"come with me" nick said we walked down the beach until we reached the jetty, nick knew that was my favorite place in the whole world.

"Now will please tell me why we are here?" i asked nick got down on one knee. OMG. what is he gonna?......

"Kaitie" nick began "i love you so much and. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you. would you..a.. Marry me,"

"are you serious??"

"WHAT? i am being all nice and romantic and you ask 'are you serious?'"

"NICK!! OF COURSE I"LL MARRY YOU!" nick picked her up and swung her around. then he kissed her.

"i love you"

"i LOVE you" just then the sky darkened and thunder sounder, and just a second later, it seemed, that the clouds just dumped a bucket of water over them, they got soaked, while running to the car.

**END OF FLASH BACK**

just on a night like this, Kaitie thought, she thought of the next few events that took place that day

**CONTINUATION OF SECOND FLASHBACK**

"wow!" i said "that was some down pour!"

"yeah i never knew it could rain so much so FAST" Nick pulled out of the beach parking lot. he got onto the highway, just as it started another downpour

"Jeez, can see a damn thing!"

"it'll let up in a few minutes" Kaitie flipped the radio on, this time to Nick's favorite station 91.9 smooth. just then ANOTHER BSB song cam eon this time it was

"i'll never break your heart". Nick started to sing along.

"from the first day that I saw your smiling face, honey I knew that we would be together forever..." he looked over at Kaitie, but just then..

"NICK! WATCH OUT!" Nick's head snapped back to the front just intime to see the truck that was about to hit them. I would never forget the crunch of the metal, and Nicks painful scream. .

"NICK!! OH DEAR GOD! NICK!"

"I-I'm right here" he grabbed her hand and gave it a squeeze and then took his last breath

**END OF FLASH BACK**

Kaitie just sat alone in the silence and the rain beating on the roof. The collision had been head on. the driver of the truck was drunk. She had had a few broken ribs and a mild concussion now that she remembers it the radio was still playing, and if she remembered right the last words she heard were...

"I'll never break your heart. I'll never make you cry. I'd rather die then live without you. I'll give you all of me honey that's no lie" Nick, Kaitie thought, wherever you are, I just want to let you know I'll never break your heart. Kaitie went back to sleep and dreamt of Nick the entire night.
