Chapter 1:
Morgan arrived home late from school that night. Fumbling for the light switch, she tossed her keys on the coffee table and was immediately greeted by Mikhail, her golden retriever puppy. She turned on the TV, making herself comfortable in her favorite plush chair, and sat Mikhail in her lap, scratching around his ears. He placed his head against her chest, as if urging her to rub harder. She laughed at his innocent ways. "You little shmuck", she said playfully, kissing him.
She sighed and leaned back. It had been another hard day at school. She was nearing the end of her junior year at Mt. Holyoke University in Massachusetts and was majoring in dance, ballet in particular. Mrs. Donna, her Cechetti VI teacher, was a perfectionist. "Ballet is the art of perfection", she would always tell them. That meant extra practice on their own time and repeating the same routines over and over until Mrs. Donna felt they had made progress. Sometimes Morgan liked to go out with her friends to a club in town and break loose, but with her schedule it wasn't often that she got the chance.
However, today was the last day of classes, at least for a week. Spring break at last. And tomorrow she was going to a Backstreet Boys concert with a couple of her friends. Dominique had managed to get front row tickets and had invited Morgan, along with Shannon and Amy, to go with her. Morgan liked their music, but she wasn't as avid a fan as her other three friends. But she'd never been to a BSB concert before, so she figured that maybe tomorrow night would change her mind.
Yawning, she got up and went to the kitchen. Mikhail followed her, wagging his tail, and waited eagerly as she filled his food bowl and sat it down in front of him. As he ate, she fixed herself something to eat and then headed off for bed, making sure to leave the door open so Mikhail could come and join her when he was finished. Otherwise he would be whimpering all night long.
After a little while she heard him come in, his tail smacking against the dresser. Jumping on the bed, he turned around three times and finally curled up in a ball at her feet. Pulling the covers around her, she fell into a deep sleep.
Chapter 2:
The next morning, Morgan awoke to a cold, wet nose in her face. She opened her eyes and shielded them from the bright sunlight. Mikhail licked her and nudged her for his breakfast. "Alright, alright. I'm awake." She swung her legs over the side of the bed and trudged to the bay window in the living room, pulling back the lace curtains. "Beautiful morning isn't it", she commented, glancing down at Mikhail. He just wagged his tail and looked at her anxiously. "Ok, I'm going." She opened up a can of dog food from the kitchen pantry and emptied it into his dish. An hour later she dressed in her workout clothes and slipped a leash on Mikhail, ready for a quick run before she left for her afternoon shift at the local airport.
Two hours later she made her way through the glass, double doors to Gate 3, where she worked as a gate attendant. "Hey Morg!" Stacey waved hello from behind her desk. "How's it going?"
"Ok, same as any other day."
"You on spring break right now?" Morgan nodded. "Are you doing anything tonight? A couple of the girls wanted to go to dinner."
"Actually, I'm going to a concert with Dominique this evening. Thanks for asking, though."
Stacey smiled. "No problem. I'll see you later then. Have fun."
"Thanks, I will." She gestured goodbye and headed towards Gate 3 to relieve Keith.
"Tickets please." Morgan ripped off one half and handed the other back to the man in line. "Have a nice flight." She felt like a robot saying those words over and over. After the line of people had moved through, she closed the doors and glanced up at the clock. 4:00. She had one more flight to get through, then she could go home and get ready for the concert. 'I don't know if I feel like going tonight. I'm so tired.' She sighed. 'But I guess I can't disappoint everyone.'
The last flight of the afternoon departed at 4:50. Gathering her things from the office, she clocked out and headed to her car. It wa a gold, 2000 Chrysler Sebring JX convertible. Sure, it had cost her and arm and a leg, and she was still paying for it, but it was her dream car and she didn't care. Since it was a warm, spring day she lowered the top and slipped her Savage Garden CD into her player. Stopping at a red light, she pulled her cell phone out of her purse and dialed Dominique.
"Hello", Dominique answered.
Morgan turned down the volume on her stereo. "Hey, it's me. I forgot to ask you what time you were picking me up tonight."
"Well, Shannon and Amy said they would come to my place at 6:00. So we'll stop by your place between 6:15 and 6:30 since it's on the way."
The light changed green. "Ok, sounds good. I'm on my way home from work right now, so that'll leave me plenty of time to get ready."
Dominique added, "Be sure to wear something a little light. It'll get pretty hot, even though it's outdoors."
"Ok. See you in a little while." She said goodbye and flipped through to track three, her favorite song on the CD. She sang along softly as she drove home.
Flinging her closet open, Morgan turned to Mikhail. "Well, baby, what should I wear?" He cocked his head for a second and went back to his bone. She smiled and searched through her wardrobe. Her mom had always thought she was crazy for talking to her dog. But he was a good companion, and always cuddly. In his mind he was born to be a lap dog. It was fine now that he was still a puppy, but she could imagine what it would be like when he grew bigger.
Selecting a pair of black, leather-looking shorts and a white, sleeveless shirt with a low neck, she changed and then hurried to the bathroom to style her light brown hair. She had always love her hair. It had streaks of blonde highlights, but not enough for people to say she was dirty blonde. And she loved the way her soft waves fell around her shoulders. 'Maybe I'll just leave it down tonight', she thought, throwing a butterfly clip into her purse just in case it got too hot to leave it down. Opening her makeup kit, she got started on her face.
Fifteen minutes later she heard a car horn outside. Grabbing her things and slipping into her black flip-flops, she gave Mikhail a quick kiss and turned out the lights, leaving a few on for him. Hurrying outside she climbed into the car with her friends and started chatting as they drove off.
Chapter 3:
"Good Lord. Is this crowded or what?" Dominique grumbled as she drove around the parking lot looking for a space. After some help from the other girls, she found one not too far away from the entrance. The gates had already opened when they got there. After Shannon and Amy bought T-shirts from a nearby stand, they headed to find their seats.
"Hey Dominique, these are great seats", Amy exclaimed as they sat down.
"They're right in front of the stage. How'd you manage it?"
Dominique laughed. "I camped out the night before they went on sale. Hey, it's worth it to see Kevin." Amy and Shannon prattled on about which one they thought was the hottest. Morgan listened, amused. It was funny to listen to them fight good-naturedly about who was the cutest. She didn't have a favorite really, but then again she wasn't very familiar with them.
After a 45-minutes, everyone got settled and waited impatiently through the opening act. Finally, the lights dimmed and girls began screaming all over the stadium. Different colored lights flashed all over the stage, and the dancers jumped out from behind the curtains. Smoke billowed down from the ceiling and the Backstreet Boys came flying onto the stage. Morgan saw her friends cheer and raise their hands, clapping as they started singing, "Larger Than Life."
She smiled and joined them clapping. Suddenly, she got a good look at the Boy in front of her. She let out a gasp amongst the screaming fans. He had dirty blonde hair and cheekbones that made him look like a Calvin Klein model. His eyes lit up as he sang and danced in sync with the rest of the guys. 'It must be Brian', she guessed. She'd seen pictures of the Backstreet Boys before, but she'd never stopped long enough to get a good look. She just placed their names with their faces from what she had learned from her BSB crazy friends.
After a few more upbeat songs, the lights softened and the began, "I Need You Tonight." She swayed to the music and lost herself in the words. She'd always been a very romantic person, a dreamer, so it was easy for her to lose herself in her own little world. She gazed at Brian and was caught off-guard at the way the light illuminated him. Suddenly, she saw him look straight into her eyes and smile. Shocked, she dropped her eyes to the ground. He was still staring at he when she glanced back up. She pretended to socialize with her friends and turn her interest away from him. Still, she couldn't get him off her mind.
At the end of the concert she stood around with her friends, waiting for people to file out of the stadium. "It was awesome!" Morgan said excitedly. "I'm definitely going to be a Backstreet Boys lover from now on." Her friends smiled at each other as if to say, "I knew we'd get her to love them."
"Excuse me miss." Morgan turned around and saw a security guard motion to her.
"Yes?" 'Did I do something wrong?' She asked herself.
"Could you please follow me?" Morgan shrugged to her friends.
"Go head and leave without me", she said to Dominique. "I'll get a cab home. It's not that far." Dominique nodded and mouthed for Morgan to call her. She said goodbye and followed the guard to a door leading backstage. Taking her down a small corridor, he stopped and knocked on one of the doors. Brian opened it.
"Thanks Steve", he said to the guard. Steve nodded and walked off. Morgan just stood there confused. "C'mon in." Brian motioned for her to step inside.
"Look, I don't mean to be rude, but what's this all about?" She waited for an answer.
Brian began hesitantly. "Well, I couldn't take my eyes off of you during the show, and I wanted to meet you. I...I hope you don't mind."
Morgan blushed. "No, of course I don't mind", she replied softly.
He smiled happily and sat down, making room for her. "What's your name?"
She took a seat next to him. "Morgan Harris."
"Morgan", he repeated. "I like that name." She blushed again. "Would you mind if I saw you again?" Her heart skipped a beat. 'He wants to see me again?!'
"I'd love it." 'Did I actually say that?' She saw a grin spread across his face. His beautiful face...
A knock at the door brought her back to life. "Hey Brian, let's get going."
"Be right there Kev", he answered. Getting up, he turned to her. "I have to sign autographs now, but could I call on you later?" Morgan nodded and gave him her phone number and address. "Thanks", he said, tucking the slip of paper into his pocket. "Our chauffeur can drive you home. Just tell him Brian sent you." She said goodbye and watched dreamily as he walked away.
Chapter 4:
When Morgan got home, she called Dominique and told her everything that had happened. Her friend was ecstatic. After she had divulged every detail she finally said goodnight, brushed her hair and changed into a nightshirt. "I can't sleep now", she said out loud. She curled up on the sofa with Mikhail.
"Oh Mikhail, he's so wonderful. The way he look into my eyes...I couldn't help but fall in love with him." Mikhail rested his head on her lap. She turned on the TV and was flipping through the channels when the phone rang. "Hello."
"Morgan? This is Brian." She caught her breath. "Did I get you at the wrong time?"
"Uh...no", she stammered. "So, how did signing autographs go?" 'Good going Morgan. You couldn't think of anything more interesting than that?'
"It went fine. The fans around here are really excited, that's for sure." He paused. "Hey, I wanted to apologize if I seemed a little forward today. I know it was kind of sudden, but I really wanted to meet you, and I'm not going to be here very long."
"Don't worry about it", Morgan assured him. "To tell you the truth, I wanted to meet you too."
"Really?" He sounded giddy. He heard her say something to someone. "Who was that?"
She laughed. "It was my puppy, Mikhail. I think he's trying to get my attention by pouncing on the TV cord."
"He sounds cute, what breed is he?"
"Golden retriever. But sometimes I think he thinks he's a cat."
Brian laughed. "Maybe I should bring my cat, Missy, over sometime so he'll have company." They talked a little while longer until Brian heard her yawn. "I should let you go. I didn't mean to keep you on."
"You didn't keep me on. I wanted to talk to you." Brian smiled to himself.
"Well, anyway, get some sleep and don't let Mikhail keep you up all night."
She chuckled. "Oh, he doesn't usually keep me up, but he wakes me up. I get doggy licks at 6:00 in the morning. That's how I get up for work."
"What a nice alarm clock", Brian joked. "Well, I'll talk to you later then."
"Thanks for calling. And I really enjoyed the show tonight."
"I'm glad you did, really. You can bet I'll be calling on you again." 'I can't wait', she thought. "Goodnight beautiful." He said it so tenderly. She felt like she could melt through the floor.
"Goodnight." She hung up the phone and went to bed, dreaming about everything that had happened that day.
Chapter 5:
Morgan slept a little longer the next morning since it ws Sunday and she didn't have to work the morning shift at the airport. When she finally did get up, it was raining. 'Oh well', she thought. 'Nothing can spoil my mood right now.' She was still in a daze from the night before. Yawning, she got up and crept out of her room, careful not to disturb Mikhail who was still sleeping at the end of her bed.
In the living room she began her morning stretches. She sat in a split and reached for her front foot, then leaned back to stretch her hamstrings. 'Owww, that hurts. Serves me right for not stretching yesterday.' Mrs. Donna was sure to be upset if she had lost any of her flexibility over the break. Being flexible was definitely a way to get on Mrs. Donna's good side. Morgan smiled, thinking how much more flexible she had become with Mrs. Donna, mostly by force. Her teacher was famous for sitting on her pupils' feet so they would arch all the way to the floor.
At 1:30 she headed out to the grocery store to pick up some food and drop it off at her place before she headed to the studio. The studio was a building on campus where dance majors could come to practice over the breaks. There were four rooms in the studio with a bar and mirrors, but not a lot of people used them so Morgan usually had a room to herself.
Parking her car, she hurried inside out of the rain and waved hello to the woman at the front desk. Morgan came here often, so pretty much everyone knew her. She took off her workout pants and her T-shirt and untwisted the straps on her light blue leotard. Shivering, she pulled on her leg warmers and then slipped her Sarah MacLachlan CD into the player at the other end of the room. She worked in her ballet shoes for a while and then switched over to pointe. At the bar, she rolled through her feet a couple times and then positioned herself in the middle of the floor. She prepared and then practiced her foutte turns, grimacing at the blister on her left toe.
Just as she finished another round of fouttes, she caught a glimpse of someone watching her through the window. It was Brian! She waved for him to come in. "Hey there", he greeted. "I didn't mean to disturb you."
"You didn't disturb me at all! It's nice to see you." She paused. "But how did you know I was here?"
He smiled sheepishly. "I went to your apartment, but you weren't there. Then I ran into you landlady and she said that you come here a lot, so I stopped by." She was glad he did. "You're a really good dancer, you know. I don't know any of our girls who can dance on their toes like that."
She laughed. "Well, I just started my workout, so you don't have to stay...unless you want to."
He looked at her softly. "Do you want me to?"
"Yes", she answered quietly.
"Then I will." She smiled and pointed him to a chair in the corner of the room. For the next half-hour she worked on a piece that she had put together herself. It wasn't finished yet, but it would be in time for the performance at the end of the year. She looked at the clock and decided she was done. 'I must've had a good workout', she thought. 'I actually worked up a sweat.'
She walked over to where Brian was sitting to get her stuff. "That was great!" He jumped up and gave her a hug, holding her for a couple seconds. She managed a weak, "Thanks." Slipping her pants over her leotard, she followed him out to his car. When they reached it, he turned around suddenly. "Morgan", he started, taking her hand. "I don't want you to think that I'm after you for a one-night stand. I care about you more than that. But, if you want me to leave you alone I will."
She was startled at first. "Brian, I know you wouldn't stoop as low as that. And I don't want you to go away, really I don't." He beamed and placed his hands on her waist, pulling her closer. Leaning towards her, he touched his lips to hers and she willingly gave in to the kiss.
"Brian", she whispered as they pulled away. He rested his head on her shoulder, the smell of his cologne surrounding her. She stepped away from him and asked, "Would you like to come to my place for a while?" He nodded.
"Ok, let me get my car and you can follow me." He got in his car and waited for her to pull out of the parking lot, his lips still burning from the kiss.
Chapter 6:
Morgan laughed as she unlocked the door and ushered Brain inside. "Don't worry about Mikhail. He's not going to bite your head off. More than likely he'll lick you to death." Her puppy came bounding out of the kitchen and jumped on Brian "See, he likes you." Morgan watched in amusement as Mikhail sniffed him and then wagged his tail, obviously happy with the new visitor.
"Do you want anything?" she asked Brain as she headed into the kitchen.
"No thanks." He heard her moan and went to see what was wrong. He stopped when he got to the doorway and struggled to keep from laughing. Obviously, Mikhail had gotten bored while she was gone and decided to help her mop the floor. His water bowl was lying at the other end of the kitchen, and water was all over the place. Soggy dog food was scattered about.
"I guess he decided the room needed a little extra touch", Morgan joked. Brian couldn't help it, he burst into laughter. She looked at him like he was crazy for a second and then joined in. Mikhail just looked at them with a confused expression and then ran happily into the next room. that made them laugh even more.
After a while Brian struggled for breath. "What...what are we...laughing at?" he managed to squeeze out.
Morgan blinked through the tears in her eyes. "I have no idea!" She leaned against the wall for support. "Oh my Lord. I can't breathe."
Brain took her hand. "C'mon, I'll help you clean this up." After they had scooped up the soggy dog food and mopped the floor, Morgan excused herself to change, pretending to scold Mikhail on the way into her bedroom.
'He's so funny', she thought gaily as she took off her leotard and tossed it in her dirty clothes pile. She took the clip out of her hair and let her waves cascade over her shoulders. Throwing on a pair of jean shorts and a light sweatshirt with the neck cut out, she gave herself one last look in the mirror and stepped into the living room. "We were getting to know each other", Brian said of Mikhail, without looking up, as he wrestled with him on the floor.
"Oh, well then maybe I should go back in the other room", Morgan joked. He stopped and glanced up, and sat staring for a second.
"No, not at all", he finally replied. She sat down on the sofa cross-legged and watched amusedly as Mikhail grabbed a hold of Brian's shoelace with his teeth and tried to drag it across the room. "Hey! Where do you think you're going with that?" Brian grabbed his front legs and flipped him on his back, pinning him to the ground. Mikhail growled playfully as he struggled to get up. Morgan laughed and cheered her puppy on. Brian looked up at her and pretended to sulk. "Whose side are you on?"
Morgan chuckled and pointed to Mikhail. "His." Brian grinned at her mischievously and then started after her. She screamed and tried to get up from the sofa, but he grabbed her before she had the chance and trapped her underneath him. Mikhail stood back and ran around in circles, yapping excitedly. She tried to wrestle Brian, but he was too strong for her and he held on. He leaned down and kissed her.
"I've been waiting forever to do that." Morgan smiled at first, but then her smile faded away. 'What are you doing?! You're losing yourself with a Backstreet Boy! You have no idea what you're getting yourself into. The media is never going to leave you two alone. Now how is your relationship supposed to work that way?' "Is something wrong?" Brian broke into her thoughts.
"No, nothing at all", she lied. He didn't seem convinced but he didn't press her any further.
After another half-hour, he stood up. "Well, I'd better go. I've got rehearsal tonight for our concert tomorrow." Then, he got an idea. "Hey, would you like to come? I could get you a backstage pass and you could meet the guys, and then you could come with us to the party afterwards." He sounded so excited, she just couldn't say no.
"Sounds great", she said. "What should I wear for the party?"
"Oh, it's nothing big. It's just a little party we have with the producers and everyone after the show. It's usually at some club." He picked up his keys and she followed him outside to his car. "I'll have our limo pick you up tomorrow before the show."
She shook her head, "No, that's ok, really. I can drive myself there, and then I'll go in the limo with you to the party."
"Ok. If that's what you want, that's fine." He gave her a hug and kissed her. "See you tomorrow", he whispered. She nodded and watched him drive off, wishing she felt as good as he did.
Chapter 7:
"Today the media is going to find out all about us", Morgan said to Mikhail as she got ready for the concert. "When I first met Brian, I thought I'd be happy if I could be with him. But how can I compare with the life he has?" She sighed and changed into a long, light blue, wrap-around skirt and a white tank top. "Will things ever be the same after tonight?" she asked herself, knowing that after tonight every media person in the area would find out about her and Brian.
She collapsed on her bed and lay there for a little while. "Oh God, but he's so handsome, and when he looks at me like he does I feel like I could stay that way forever." Mikhail let out a tiny bark, as if to tel her everything would be all right. She laughed at him. "Ok, I'll stop worrying."
She arrived at the pavilion at 5:00. Giving the guard her name, she followed him backstage to where Brian and the rest of the guys were getting ready to go on. "Hey baby", Brian called as soon as he saw her. He ran up to her and gave her a hug. "You look wonderful", he murmured in her ear.
"So, you gonna introduce us?" AJ walked up to them.
"Yeah. Guys, this is Morgan. Morgan, this is AJ, Nick, Howie and Kevin."
Nick took her hand and kissed it. "How are you beautiful?" He grinned mischievously at Brian. "But Brian, I thought you were going to be my date tonight at the party?"
Brian got the joke and joined in. "Awe, Nicky, I didn't know that you loved me!" Nick gave Brian a shove and laughed as he fell on top of Kevin. Morgan couldn't say anything, she was crying hysterically.
"Ok guys, enough fooling around. It's almost time. Let's get going." A guy, who Morgan guessed was their producer, herded them away. Brian made a face and then blew her a kiss before he headed off in the other direction.
"Hi, you must be Morgan." A dark-skinned woman with black hair greeted her. "We've heard a lot about you from Brian. Why don't you have a seat over here with the rest of us?" She led her over to a row of seats that must've been set aside for the makeup artists and such. Probably so they could be right there when the guys came offstage after the first half. "I'm sorry, I don't think I introduced myself. I'm Fatima, their choreographer."
Morgan shook her hand. "Nice to meet you." She and Fatima had a nice conversation while they watched the guys perform. After the first half, Brian bounded backstage and kissed Morgan on the cheek.
"Sorry, I'd give you a hug but I'm all sweaty."
"I don't care."
"Really? Ok then." He swept her up and spun her around. She shrieked with delight. AJ, Nick, Howie and Kevin looked on in amusement.
When the show was over, Morgan waited while the guys changed and then took Brian's arm as they headed out to the limo. "How'd you like the show?" Brian asked.
"You guys were great! So was the view. I know all of my friends are going to murder me once they find out I got backstage at a Backstreet Boys concert."
"They'd better not murder you", Brian protested. "What would I do without you?" She smiled. Then, the guards opened the door and a hoard of reporters started snapping pictures as they came through. Morgan paused for a moment before they went out the door. "It's ok", Brian assured her. She clung to him and hurried outside into the limousine.
The same thing happened when they reached the club. Guards were kept at the doors so that none of the media could get in, though. It calmed her a little, but not much. 'I'm not used to this', she thought. While they were having a drink with the rest of the group, "Don't Wanna Lose You Now" came on. "Hey, it's our song!" AJ cheered.
"No, ya think", Nick retorted sarcastically. AJ pushed Nick and he fell out of his chair and lay on the ground laughing.
"I don't know them", Brian said. He took her hand. "C'mon. Let's get away from these crazy people."
"Hey! Who's crazy?!" AJ yelled after him. Brian led her up onto the dance floor and grasped her waist, resting his forehead on hers. She smiled and hung her arms around his neck, swaying to the music. Brian started to sing the words softly in her ear. She closed her eyes and tried to make the moment last forever. 'Are you crazy to even think that you could compete with this? Come on Morgan, this guy's a famous singer whose picture is all over the cover of every magazine. It just won't work.' She tried to shut her conscience up, but it kept bugging her. Brian just couldn't be in love with her, not with all of the other girls he could have. 'But he does love you.'
She endured through a few more dance, a couple with the other Boys, and a few long chats with the group. Then she decided she couldn't take it anymore. Excusing herself, she checked to make sure that Brian was still talking to Fatima and then hurried outside. Brian looked up and saw Morgan leave. "I'll be right back", he said to a confused Fatima and ran after her.
Morgan stepped outside and made her way across the street. There was no one out. The reporters were gone and almost every building in town seemed to be dark. "Morgan!" She spun around, alarmed, and saw Brian race across the street. He caught hold of her hand before she could walk away. "Morgan, baby, what's wrong?"
She blinked away the hot tears forming in her eyes. "Oh Brian. I can't compete with all of this. I mean, you're famous and so is everyone around you. You deserve someone better."
He reached up and wiped a tear off of her cheek. "Morgan, how can you say that? I don't want anyone else, I want you." She started to cry and buried her face in her hands. "What can I do to make you see how much I love you? I've never met anyone in my life that treated my the way you do. I mean, you're the first girl who's treated me like the normal human being that I am. It's like you forget that I'm famous and love me for me, so why can't you do that now? Why can't you forget about my being famous?" He reached for her and lifted her chin. "Morgan, I love you."
She stopped sniffling and looked up at him. "You really mean that, don't you?"
He smiled. "Well, why don't I show you." And with that he took her in his arms and kissed her, first on her lips and then her neck. "Morgan", he whispered in between kisses. "Will you wait for me?"
Her fingers fondled his hair. "Yes. Forever and a day if I have to." He held her for another minute or two and then took her hand and, together, they walked back into the club.
Chapter 8:
~ Four months later ~
Morgan was just about to leave to go work out when the phone rang. She ran back to the living room and answered it. "Hello."
"How's my beautiful girl?" It was Brian!
"Brian! Where are you?"
"Why don't you look out your window?" She went to her window and looked out through the curtains. Brian was standing in the grass with a phone to his ear. She screamed, dropped the phone and dashed outside.
"Brian!" she cried as she spotted him running towards her. They met in the parking lot and she jumped into his arms. He spun her around joyously. "You have no idea how much I missed you!"
He set her down and hugged her tightly. "And you have no idea how much I missed you!" Then he took her hand and led her towards his car. "Come on. I want you to go somewhere with me."
She smiled curiously. "Where?"
He shook his head. "Uh uh, you have to come with me." They drove for a while until Brian told her to put her hands over her eyes. "No peeking." He stopped the car and got out, opening the door for her and leading her blindly into a building. She could hear whispers in the background. It sounded like AJ telling them to shut up. "Ok, you can look." She took her hands away from her eyes and found herself staring at a huge banner that said "Congratulations Brian and Morgan", with the rest of the Boys and crew gathered around and cheering.
"But...congratulations for what?" She searched everyone for an answer.
"Well", Brian began, "it will be a congratulations party if..." he got down on one knee, "if you'll marry me." Morgan gasped and stood there, dumbfounded, for a moment.
The words began to creep their way out of her chest until she finally exploded. "Yes. Yes, I will marry you." Everyone had been silent up until now, and then they started to scream. Brian slipped the ring on her finger and leapt up, kissing her.
"I promise you this", he started. "For as long as you love me, I'll love you longer."
She grinned at him. "No, there's where you're wrong."
AJ broke in. "Awe, look. They ain't even married yet and they're already quarreling!" Brian and Morgan just smiled.
Brian kissed her again. "As long as you love me..."
