The Seven Keys Saga
Intro
Make the people
Hold each other’s hands
And fill the hearts with the truth you made up your mind
So do as divined - Keeper of the Seven Keys
For thousands of years seven realms coexisted in peace, never once they battled each other. Accustomed to watch time passes by, these seven realms claimed their land for themselves, fighting whoever dare to trespass.
Different from each other, yet equal for loving their land. The seven kingdoms lived in peace, some of them feared for the in adverted and well expected day when that peace will crumble.
The seven different races were politically to each other, never kind. But there were times when they wished they weren’t together over convenience . . . and they could actually befriend the others.
Fate was about to turn their back on these realms, their biggest fear had come to live. A strange soul had come to claim the kingdoms as his own, his army bigger than any other known, ruthless and heartless, just like the finest warriors.
The legendary sorcerer Tarak, one that had been on the shadows since the beginning of time, has come back and has stolen the Seven Keys to the Seven Realms, causing the Kingdoms to fear for their safety.
In order to maintain the balance they must learn to deal with their
difference, but their power trip had been long on their minds, perhaps
more than time itself. And as hard it is to let a stranger rule their kingdom,
it is equally hard to let their ‘allies’ to defend their own land.
…….
First realm; The wizards.
A magic land like no other, surrounded by lakes and mountains, this realm was visually the most extraordinaire place of the seven. Enchanted valleys, magical trees, singing birds, joyful falls, everything a fairy tale will be jealous from. Their inner power reside on their hearts and souls, they believed in earth’s beauty and everyone living in it, including the other kingdoms.
Never ones to fail a dare, but never the ones to start one. They could hold their ground on a battle, no matter the enemy, large or small. These extraordinaries creatures had one small feature that stood from the other ones; their warm stare.
A wizard could look at you and you would fall into a trance, he would never harm you, but you wouldn’t be able to think on your own will.
Their enemies were the warlocks, known for their tactless practice of magic, dark magic.
The new king had accomplished peace among the two realms, not in the most orthodox way possible, but at last they were in peace.
The powers of these creatures were unimaginable, magic in their lives was for them as food for a human, an every day occurrence. From a boy to an old man, these men used their enchantments for everything and everyone.
No woman was found on this realm, they were only kept to conceived and give birth, never to raise a child.
Their schools were peaceful and quite serene, never loud. But one thing that failed on them was their eagerness to rule the other realms, believing the others couldn’t and wouldn’t be able to perform such a fine task with their rudimentary ideas.
That was their biggest flaw, and because of it was hard to trust them, no matter how powerful and peaceful they were.
Second realm; Dark forces, The Warlocks.
Ruled by their king Hunter, this realm was one of the cruelest. Tough over the years they learned to live in peace with their nemesis, the Wizards.
Known for their intricate knowledge of dark magic and their uses for every day tasks, such as cooking and hunting. No a single warlock had a pure soul, not even the old men.
Sometimes grumpy and always holding grudges against the ones who dare to challenge them, these creatures were not as extraordinaire as the Wizards, but they were equally beautiful, a raw beauty that exceed the standards.
Surrounded by hills and rivers, the land was rich on vast green areas. This realm is the closes to the Mount of Despair.
Dedicated to hunt for leisure, these warlocks loved a battle just as much as the Wizards love magic. But just as both are different from each other, they are both similar when it comes to the magic.
A Warlock would always defend their place on the magic world, powerful and raw talent were their known marks. From birth, a child was taught the secrets of dark magic, primary from their mother and mostly from the elderly on their schools.
Always looking after themselves, but watching over their own kind. They could let the other realm’s kinds get hurt, killed or massacred but never one of their own. Their sense of loyalty was highly on their books, above solidarity and below the righteous way to vanquish their enemies.
Never fearing any other creature, but they felt a great respect towards the barbarians, the only ones to match their physical strength
Tough these creatures have a large list of fails, they also have their virtues. Not always seem as the soft type, they have a soft spot for Wizards. Specially their king Hunter.
Third realm; The Barbarian.
Tough warriors, brutal strength and raw abilities for combat. Expert on weapons and hand on hand fights, these strong men fear no one. The farthest realm from The Mount of Despair of all the seventh realms.
Their deserted lands were just another proof that no one wanted to get on their way, their primal way of surviving was hunting, and once upon a time they were the greatest conquerors but now there was nothing to conquer, at least nothing worth their time.
Cynical and bad tempered, these short men had no fear on showing their emotions when it came to wrath and despite. Always on a battle, they had no remorse on killing their enemies.
These people never trust no one, but their own kind. Their king, a brilliant man and his loyal general were the most respected men in the realm, including the other six realms. Although they were respected, no one dared to wander on their lands.
The barbarians were almost hermit, their families were small, only the parents and on or two kids, at the most. Most of the kids were trained to be warriors, the female ones were instructed in the healing crafts; tough weren’t witches, they could hold their place against the magic ones.
When the kingdoms were divided, these creatures alienated themselves from the rest, now thousands of years later they were forced to fight with them for the sake of their lands.
Fourth realm; The Wise Men
These creatures were rather mysterious, never showing themselves to
the rest. Always lurking, trying to share their knowledge.
They’re not evil, yet they’re not entirely good. They believe that there’s not such thing as good or evil, as apart as the world wants to believe. Each of us carry one part of it, we have to choose to which side our balance is going to bend.
Never are seen alones, yet the population in their kingdom is quite short. The elderly and the women live in the west side of their realm, while the young men live on the east side. Their ground are filled with vegetation and surrounded by a forest.
There’s a legend about these ancient creatures, when the seven realms first formed, they were the ones who separated them around The Mount of Despair. The belief was that, when was needed the realms must fought between each other, so they decided that this was unnecessarily. The land must be divided equally.
The Wise Men are the ones to who the rest goes to, when advice is needed. No matter who you are, these people always have a word of encouragement for anyone. Their leader died due to a strange illness and now the kingdom has no one to lead them, one of them, the youngest has taken over the control.
This man believes that one day, they won’t need someone to be their governor, that everyone would get along and without arguments and wars. A strange feature from this man are his eyes, devil eyes. And the fact that he’s the only one who ever talked to the legendary Keeper.
The fifth realm; The Peace Makers
Known for their peaceful manner, these men and women are always in
pursuit of all creatures peace among themselves. Tall and gentle, the Peace
Makers have a great sense of humanity, they would help anyone who needs
it.
Their realm has been considered one of the most exotic places among the others, they have almost every single animal to ever exist on their forest. Along with several falls and hanging castles, this realm radiates inner peace like no other.
They don’t have a king or a leader, they believe in the corruption of power. Anyone who’s been touched by it, goes into a power trip like no other. They become addicts and their quest for more power ends in massacre.
There’s a council, which is the one that takes every decision within their confines.
The young men are trained to defend their territory with spears and bows, never with more lethal weapons like The Barbarians. They’re skillful fighters, but they rather talk than fight.
For them, the key to get out of a dangerous situation is communication, never the fists.
Sixth Realm; The Mortals.
Almost at the end of the chain, that’s how humans are considered among these realms. They’re considered as devious and manipulative creatures. Ones that cannot have any pure thoughts or reasons.
Once ther were mighty, but one of their king destroyed everyone’s faith on them with his betrayal, by trusting secrets to those who weren’t allowed to know them.
Now they spend most of their time trying to patch up the remaining relationships with the rest of the realms, tough it would be hard as anyone actually believes in them.
Their lands aren’t as impressive or exotic as the others, their villages are concealed between the tall trees. Most of the men are hunters and the women take care of the house and children, the old men are on the King’s Council.
From all the creatures in this land, the Mortals are the only ones with no magic abilities, powers or anything that resembles. Their skills rely on their charming personality and their ability to talk their way out of any hard situation they’re in.
Their physique is no different than The Peace Makers, but they actually fight. At the beginning of time, they were a respected race, but now they are treated like the plague.
But now that the seven keys are being stolen, they must join forces with the sixth remaining realms and get them back. Unfortunately for them, The Barbarians and The Dark Forces are not to fond of them and would do anything in their power to make the Humans fail once again.
Or maybe they can change their minds before this happens.
Seventh Realm; The Keepers
Ancient creatures, born to protect The Seven Gates. Not much is known
about these alluring people, only that once they were the most respected
from all the Kingdoms, but a mysterious plague killed most of them.
The only ones left were a elderly couple and a young woman. The couple was killed by The Mortals’ King on his quest for power, which resulted on the young woman killing the King.
Once the entire race was wiped off their land, the young woman resigned from her duties as The Keeper, leaving the keys on the possession of The Endless River, where they were going to be safe, away from the rest of the creatures.
This lady was known as the most powerful being on the Seven Realms, never allowed to wander the other Kingdoms alone. Now that she was the last of their kind, she was bound to live alone.
Tragically, her only task is to walk around the limits of her land, all by herself.
Not only she’s the most powerful creature, but the most alluring one and breathtaking beautiful. But her stubbornness and shyness drifts her away from any living creature, except from a Wise Man, who keeps her company late at night.
Her name … Ethiene … her sin … being Tarak’s daughter …
