Ludus Venalis is one of the oldest Guilds in Everquest located on the Rodcet Nife Server. We consist of all real-life friends and memebership to the Guild is based solely upon friendship. Tasaran Glist is the Leader/ Creator of Ludus and is still with the Guild today. He works very closely with each member and meets each one. His EQ revolves around a purple screen and grinding his Pally to the ground. Tasaran is a great friend to many within the guild and holds many secrets to those whom are in the Guild. Including my own.... =)
Ludus occasionally has real-life events so other members may meet one another. Many member travel from far away states to be a part of this, which makes this a high-class guild event. Some of these Events include: Grinding the seafood in the nearest Red Lobster, an all-nighter of Board Games and Stewies, and a BBQ in a members back yard.
Guild Events in the game are much more exciting when you know the person who you are playing with. This also allows much more leniency on lewts, pp, etc. Many items in the Guild are passed down without being sold for uber platz! This is a big success for a newbie friend to the Guild. Other newbies in the game find themselves struggling for answers from others around Norrath and have troubles getting used to the game and the buttons. Ludus is bound by friendship that we do help the least experienced out. This stretches to doing many things... Doing a CR in a nasty zone that requires many deaths, running to the Hills to get sharpening stones for a newbie quester, sitting on your arse trying to forage cabbage, etc.
All around, Ludus is an enormous Guild. Currently we have about 50 members whom are grinding it out throughout all of Norrath. Feel free to "Hail" anytime you see one of us.
