Maxie was caught comepletely off guard with Gia's question. "What makes you say that?"she asked. She was so happy that she didn't choke on her juice. "Girl,"Gia said,with a hint of amusement in her eyes,"I saw the way that you looked at Lucky when he was sparring with Nikolas. You love him with all your heart and soul. I can see it in your eyes. You love Lucky like i love Nikolas,but you're not sure whether he loves you or not,right?" Maxie stared at her juice cup. "Yes."she said slowly. "Well,let me tell you that I believe that he does love you."Gia said with certainty. "Really?How?"Maxie asked. "When he called up Nikolas today to tell us why you were coming today,Nikolas said he never heard him so angry. I actually heard him calm Lucky down."Gia explained. Maxie was amazed. She had never seen Lucky angry before. I hope that I never do,she thought to herself. But she was even more amazed that Lucky loved her.

"Bro,you sure you're ok?"Nikolas asked Lucky as they were changing after the workout. "I'm fine."Lucky said while putting on his tank top. "I'll probably just have a bruise,that's it. But I'm ok." He then tossed his stuff into his new bag,wondering where Maxie had gotten the money for it. "That bag looks great."Nikolas said. "When did you buy it?" "Actually,Maxie bought it for me as a thank you gift today."Lucky said a bit sheepishly. Nikolas looked at him for a long moment and then smiled. "What?"Lucky asked him. "You have feelings for Maxie.",Nikolas said matter-of-factly. Lucky started to protest,but he knew that Nik would see right through his defense. "How did you know?"he asked. "Don't you remember the phone call this morning? You sounded like you were ready to hunt this guy down yourself." "I was,ready to."Lucky admitted. "I think that I'm in love with Maxie. I never felt this strongly about Liz,or anybody else for that matter." Nikolas smiled at his brother. "I'm happy for you,Lucky. I know for a fact that she loves you." "You do?"Lucky asked. "Yup. I saw the way that she looked at you when we were in the lobby and when she was watching us with Gia." "But she's only 16."Lucky said mournfully. "So? You're 19. It's not that big of a leap." "But Mac and Felicia-"he startedbefore Nikolas cut him off. "Mac and Felicia would love to see you two get together just like everybody else. Let's go meet the girls in the lobby,ok?"

Lucky and Nikolas met up with Gia and Maxie back in the lobby. As soon as Lucky saw Maxie,his heart leapt. I have to tell her,he thought. "Maxie?"he said,shakilly. "Yes?"she replied. "i just wanted to say thank you." "Thank me for what?"she asked. "For coming to watch me spar. Liz hated it,saying it was boring." Liz doesn't know what she's missing,Maxie thought. "I was wondering"Lucky continued,"if you wanted to go out sometime?" Maxie was too stunned to say anything for a few moments before finally saying,"I would love too,Lucky. When?"she said. "How about saturday night?"suggested Lucky. "Sure. Pick me up about 8?" "Eight sounds fine to me."Lucky said. "Come on,I'll take you home." Gia and Nikolas watched them leave before them. Each of them had the same smile on thier faces. "You think they know?"Gia asked her fiance. "Yup."Nikolas replied. "Honey,how do you feel about a double wedding?"he asked her. "No way. I am not sharing the spotlight."she said firmly. Nikolas laughed. "Some things never change. But then again,"he said while he saw from the lobby Lucky helping Maxie into his car,"hopefully some things do."
