THE SACRIFICE THAT WASN'T

Christians insist that "God" sacrificed his only son so that we might be free of sin. That's pretty good as far as it goes, but push them a little further and you discover that Jesus was in fact, God. Apparently God and Jesus were one and the same. That being so, then God sacrificed himself on the cross, it was a planned suicide.

For three days, or forty, depending on whether you believe Matthew's account of the resurrection, or Paul's, God was dead. Then God arose from dead, tucked into a meal with eleven of his disciples, then flew bodily up to heaven to sit on his own right hand.

The sacrifice was insignificant because after his death, God was reunited with himself. Not only that, but according to Christians, "Jesus Lives". So if he lives, he didn't die. Jesus, who is God, didn't die, and he wasn't parted from himself for more than a few days. So what kind of a sacrifice was that? And how can such a non sacrifice absolve us from sin?

Please do think about these things, and you'll discover that christianity is the biggest crock of shit since one-eyed cyclops rode unicorns across Atlantis to save the world from leprechauns, fairies and dragons.
