Two thousand years ago some wag came up with the twin
ideas of "mortal sin" and "eternal damnation", who was
it now? Oh that's right, it was Jesus, king of the
Jews. Jesus employed sin and damnation to great effect,
"Either believe in me or ye be cast into the pit of eternal flame!" Pretty damned scary. And the gangsters who
set up church in his name added value to the concept
by making sex a sin!
Now that was clever because everyone indulges in sex.
By linking sex to sin to eternal damnation, the gangster church
was able to control all of Europe and half of Asia.
The idea being that if you indulge in sex you will
burn in hell forever unless you worship Jesus. And
to reach Jesus you must attend church, make
confession, do pennance and pay Money!
Without any shadow of doubt, it was the most brilliant
ad campaign there has ever been. Enslave countless
millions of people by terrifying the life out of them,
convincing them that they will burn for ever and ever
and ever for indulging in illicit sex. But hey! not
to worry, Church Pty Ltd has just the product to
cleanse your sins and absolve you of guilt. It's
called Miracle Formula Christ! Complete with
magic ingredients, atonement, and Divine Brightness!!!
It worked for almost two thousand years, and amongst ignorant
Latinos and Catholics, it still works. But intelligent
people are taking a long hard look at sin and
damnation and they're beginning to realise how
seriously they've been had. With the advent of widespread
pornography, and sin losing its impact, the church is
in deep shit. Without sin and hell, what use is a
saviour? What's he going to save us from once we've
abandoned sin and hell? The church is in crisis,
people are no longer buying its miracle product.
And it's not just the church that is in crisis, Christianity itself is in crisis. The problem for Christianity is the Bible. People are starting to realise what's in it, and they don't like what they see. Christians have been taught that "god" is merciful, and now they discover that the biblical god is a disgusting, depraved, murdering monster. They've been taught that Jesus was a kind and loving "saviour" but the Bible describes him as a racist, spiteful, imbecile.
Homosexuals disagree with "god" when he describes them as an "abomination". Women disagree with "god" when he describes them as unclean creatures, and when "saint" Paul forbids them to teach. Masturbators are reluctant to sever a hand and gouge out an eye, as "christ" instructed. Disabled people take issue with "god" when he banishes them from his sancturies. Same with blind people. And all non Jewish people are disappointed with "god" and Jesus when both describe Gentiles as the lowest form of scum to infest this planet.
It's hard for Christians to worship deities who loathe and destest them.
What Christians really need is a replacement god and a replacement christ, but they're stuck with the Biblical versions.
They're stuck with a book which insists that Noah herded 25,000 species of snakes – some talking, some not, onto his ark with one window, plus countless millions of other mammals, insects and beasts. A book which insists that Samson slaughtered a battalion armed with nothing more than the jawbone of an ass. And that David single handedly slew one hundred soldiers and presented their foreskins to "god", and "god" was exceedingly grateful. Pickled foreskins! Yum Yum!
Christians with one active brain cell are finding it increasingly hard to believe anything the Bible says. Drip, drip, drip, reason is eroding faith. Not such a bad thing when you consider that F.A.I.T.H. stands for Feeble Answers for the Insecure, the Thick and the Hopeless.
We feel sorry for Christians, but we can't help them until they face the unpalatable fact that they have been lied to their entire lives, and that their religion is the religion of sick, ignorant savages.
