How sick we are of hearing about so-called "Christian morals."

Where was Christian morality during the Inquisition, when Europe became one giant torture chamber for the sadistic joy of diabolical popes and priests? Where was Christian morality when so-called "witches" and their children were being drowned and burned for fun and entertainment? Where was Christian morality during the Hundred Years War, when tens of thousands of Catholics and Protestants slaughtered each other for Jesus' sake? Where was Christian morality when successive waves of "holy" cutthroats, called Crusaders, marched across Europe and Asia slaughtering anyone and everyone who was Jewish or Muslim, or looked like they might be Jewish or Muslim?

Where was Christian morality during three hundred years of slave raiding, when millions of negroes slaved and died for Christian slave-owners? Where was it when Catholic Conquistadors slaughtered the Aztecs and plundered their gold? Where was Christian morality when Canada, America, Australia and New Zealand were invaded by Christians and the indigenous populations were all but exterminated, and the survivors driven off their land?

Where was Christian morality during the Salem Witch Trials? Where was it when the Ku Klux Klan were hanging negroes from trees? Where was Christian morality when millions of Jews and gypsies were murdered in the gas chambers of Nazi Germany? Where was it when Catholic Croations sawed the heads off of orthodox Serbs who refused to convert to Catholicism? Where was it during the attempted genocide of Muslims by Christian Serbs?

Where is Christian morality when Christian murders Christian in Ireland? Where is it in Brazil and Argentina when homeless children are gunned down by Catholic police? Where is Christian morality when hundreds of Catholic and Anglican priests abuse and rape little children?

Ah yes, how quickly we forget the nature of the beast. And how convenient for the beast.

The only time we hear from the Church is when someone outside the Church sticks his dick where he shouldn't, homosexuals for example. That's when pompous priests and archbishops climb upon their high horse and spout homilies about righteousness and correct modes of living. CORRECT MODES OF LIVING! That's rich coming from the instrument of cowardice, corruption, misery, torture and death that the Church most certainly is.

The Vatican forbids birth control because it opposes sex for pleasure – if it's nice, pay the price. The Catholic Church relies on unwanted pregnancies and the birth of millions of starving third world children for its survival. Uneducated, ignorant peasants make the best Catholics, easy to brainwash and manipulate.

And now the Church forbids embryonic stem cell research, it denies quadriplegics and papaplegics the chance to walk again. "Immoral" says the church. Once again, it knows best. Just like in the old days when it tossed babies onto bonfires for their souls' sake.

Apparently that wasn't immoral.

The Church, both Catholic and Protestant, has failed us spectacularly. And now, here we are, in 2003, about to go to war again, this time to protect Jewish Nazis called "settlers" who demand the right to drive Muslims from their land, and to seize "weapons of mass destruction" which were supplied to a Muslim nation by Christian nations, so that Muslim could gas Muslim.

Religion has been a dismal failure. It has been a tragedy and a monumental calamity for this planet. Enough is enough. It is time for a global shift in attitudes. Religion, all religions, must be exposed, neutralised, and flushed away. It is the only chance we have.

The only way to defend the world is to attack the mind!
