Clear Springs Baptist Church

Clear Springs Baptist Church is located in Simpsonville, Greenville County,
S. C. It was a very strict organization. The church settled disputes
between the members and frowned upon playing music. However, white and
black worshipped together and the church regulated the treatment of slaves.
The founders of the church were Joab League and Stephen Marchbanks.
Josiah Kilgore deeded the land to Robert League for the church.

These are not the complete records. Some are only brief segments.
