Act 1, Scene 1
   In this scene, Brutus wakes Lucius to have him light a candle for him in his study. After Lucius carried out his order, the conspirators showed up at his house dressed in black. This is the night that the conspirators plan the murder of Caesar, and debate to kill Antony and to kill Caesar in a way that doesn't hack him all up but still gets the point across. After the men leave, Brutus' wife wakes up and questions him on his strange behavior. She tells him her place and he realizes she should know. He sends her away but tells her that he will tell her later because Ligarius showed up and took Brutus away with him into the stormy night.

Act 2, Scene 2
  In this scene, Caesar awakes to his wife begging him not to go to the Senate to be crowned today because she had a horrible dream about his statue spurting blood. She believed it to be a sign of fate, so she feared for his life. He decided to yield to her decision until Decius reinterprets the dream as a sign of Caesar's glorious reign. They leave for the capitol.

Act 2, Scene 3
  This scene takes place in a street near the capitol and the only character is Artemidorus who is reading a paper. The paper is a warning to Caesar, telling him what people to be aware of. He tells cAesar to be very careful because carelessness leads to conspiracy. He declares he will give this note to Caesar when he passes by him.

Act 2, Scene 4
  In this scene, Portia commands Lucius to go to the Senate. she is frantic and does not provide clear details, therefore, Lucius is confused what to do. She tells him to check on his lord to see if he is well. When the fortune teller arrives to meet Portia, he tells her the time and how crowded the streets were with senators, officers and humble petitioners. He tells her he will try to go speak to Caesar. After the fortune teller leaves, Portia announces her need to go, but she realizes she is a woman, so she sends Lucius to gather information.
