Munkustrap is an older tom and the subleader of the Jellice tribe. He leads the narratives along with Rum Tum Tugger.  He is Old Deuteronomy's secondhand man, er, cat, and protects him and the rest of the Jellices from Macavity as well as from Grizzabella.

He's a serious and affectionate cat and often smiles upon the cats as if he were their future wise and loving leader. He is never playful and reprimands such cats as Rumpelteazer and Rumpus when they goof around.

Amirers: Electra and Victoria seem to like Munkustrap, not in particular but more as a friend. Alonzo is Munkustrap's secondhand man and steps in Macavity defeats him. Demeter is also another admirer. When Munkustrap is injured saving her, she is deeply concerned. Who he admirers: Old Deuteronomy of course! It seems Munkustrap has some ambition. In my opinion, he wants to be the next leader like Old Deut. and looks up to him greatly. He also seems to like the Rum Tum Tugger. He is geniunely pleased when Tugger appears and always has a smile on hsi face when he sees him. His favorite cat by far is Jennyanydots. She seems to be the only cat he'll loosen up for.
