Whatcha doin' in this darkness baby? When you know that LOVE will set you free!

Welcome, o' bored ones! The purpose of this section is to simply give you an idea of what this site's purpose is. I know that there are a lot of Live websites out there, and it took me a while to figure out what type of theme I wanted my Live website to portray that would make it unique. Still with no clue or theme I decided to create a site and see where it took me. Well, lo and behold it didn't take me long to figure out what my initial theme would be. A few weeks before designing this site, I began creating a compilation bootleg with the title "Love Will Lead Us." From the moment I started editing the home page graphic, I realized that that was going to be the theme of my entire site.

What really got me into Live "big time" was the release of The Distance to Here on October 5, 1999. I will never forget that date! From the moment I threw the disc into my car CD player, I knew there was something special about it. From the instant "Love will lead us, alright!" rang out of the speakers of my car I knew that Live was a band attempting to have a positive influence on the world...an influence, which this world so badly needs. So, that's what got the snowball rolling for me (well that and Simon Grigg of Livereleases who was so kind and gracious to help me get started with my bootleg collecting).

Throughout this whole site I have quotes from all of Live's (and Public Affection's) albums with the word "LOVE" in them. It's amazing how many there are dating back the whole way to The Death of a Dictionary. In fact, I went through and highlighted every time the word LOVE appears in their lyrics (you can see for yourself in the lyrics section of this site). It amazed me how many there were...too numerous to count (maybe I will attempt to someday?). So, I see the theme of LOVE as much a part of Live as "Operation Spirit," "Selling the Drama," "Lightning Crashes," "I Alone," "Lakini's Juice," "We Walk in the Dream," "Dance With You," the Chameleon Club, and CBGBs are. Anyway you look at it, LOVE has always been there, and hopefully it always will be in some form or another.

I hope you find this site of value and maybe you'll even take something away from it...maybe not. I guess I'm just attempting to help Live spread the good word of LOVE with this site. Something, I feel, can't hurt in the least. I know that I have more LOVE in my life right now than I ever have. I'm engaged to be married on May 25, 2002 to the most wonderful person I've ever met, my fiancee Melissa. I won't get into our story here but, if you'd like to see her and hear our story you can check out the About Me section of this site.

Thanks for listening to my spiel here. I hope you enjoy the site! Please, if you have any questions or comments (good or bad) please feel free to email me! I'd appreciate your feedback. Now, I promise I won't bore you like this again!!
