Vegeta strode out of the Capsule Corporation, before realizing he was still soaking wet from showering Bulma. He blushed in embarrassment, despite his royally trained composure, as he took in his disheveled appearance. His clothes were soaking wet, stained with clomps of berries and spattered blood. He strode back into the Capsule Corporation, slamming the door behind him without a word, trying his best to conceal his disgust and embarrassment, under his accustomed air of dignity.

Goku and Piccolo were left speechless, mouths agape, at Vegeta's hasty retreat. They waited for 10 minutes for Vegeta to reemerge, giving each other sidelong glances. Vegeta reappeared a few moments later than that, with a complete change of clothes, behaving as if his retreat never happened.

He effortlessly rose to eye level with Goku and Piccolo, smirking arrogantly as if Bulma was the last thing on his mind.

"I don't really like doing this, Vegeta." Goku said soberly. "The androids are our main problem, and we will need everybody, including you. We shouldn't fight among ourselves."

Piccolo only grunted and glared at Vegeta.

"But, Bulma's father and Piccolo have told me some disturbing things, and I need satisfaction, they aren't true. I, frankly, don't want to believe they are true. After the talk we had, I would like to think you couldn't do such a thing."

Vegeta could have told them the whole story. It would have been easy-at least it would have been easy for anyone else, but Vegeta. Vegeta never did anything the easy way.

His face became cold and certain as his eyes shifted between the two opponents. "I can straighten this out."

Goku smiled as he turned to Piccolo. "I told you, this is all a misunderstanding. Vegeta will straighten it out."

Vegeta's smirk twisted with contempt, as his voice gloated with false pleasantness. "That's right, Kakarotto! You both are operating under a false impression. Let me straighten things out for you!"

Vegeta floated closer, getting within an inch of Goku's face as he hissed the next, "I don't have to justify myself to the likes of either of you. Now, why don't you both go fuck yourselves and stop wasting my time."

"Dammit, Vegeta!" Goku yelled angrily. "I am trying to help you. Do you really want to die today?"

"Another false impression!" Vegeta said as he laughed derisively. "I don't need help from anyone, certainly not from the likes of you! Now, you can go fuck yourselves, twice!"

"Fuck you, Vegeta!" Goku doubled up his fists. "I tried to help you. Now, you can just get your sorry ass kicked today. Bulma is my friend, and has been my friend for a lot longer than I've ever known you, you arrogant fuck! If you think I am going to let anything happen to her and not do anything about it, you are sadly mistaken."

"This seems to be your day for false impressions, Kakarotto!" Vegeta exploded with power as his hair gleamed gold. "Or did you think that ugly Namek was going be any help to you?"

"Oh, I already knew you went Super Saiya-jin, Vegeta." Goku laughed. "Piccolo, told me. But I have some bad news."

Goku doubled up his fists and Vegeta suppressed a cold thrill of fear, as he felt Goku's ki rise much higher than Vegeta believed possible.

"Impossible!" Vegeta thought, his mind still hard wired to the past, and the legends of his people. "A Super Saiya-jin is the strongest warrior in the universe. There is nothing more powerful!"

Goku's smile became deadly serious. "There's a second level, Vegeta, and I am almost there."

'Fuck!' Vegeta thought. 'All that work and he claims he is still ahead of me? This is the woman's fault! She distracted me!'

Vegeta shook with fury as his pride rose faster than his ki. 'It's not possible for him to be ahead of me. It's not possible! How I hate him!'

"Fuck you, Kakarotto!" Vegeta screamed in frustration and fury. "I don't care what you say. I'm going to kill both of you today, then take care of the androids myself!"'

Vegeta launched himself against Goku, shaking with a fury borne of his outrage.

"Piccolo!" Goku spoke to Piccolo's heart. "This is my fight. Stay out of this. Let's lead him farther into the woods so no one gets hurt, but let's end this once and for all."

Piccolo gave Goku a nod, which was the only indication he heard Goku. Vegeta took no notice. His fury borne of his obsessive jealousy, was totally focused on Goku, as he fought ferociously again him.

Bulma was barely regaining consciousness when she felt an explosion rock the Capsule Corporation. She slowly turned her head to look at her father, who was gazing out her bedroom window.

"How far away are they?" Her mother said to her father.

"I don't know. Several miles I would guess. You think it would be over by now. They've been at it about an hour!" Her father replied.

Bulma watched her mother bend to wipe a tear. "I just can't believe it's true. I always liked, Vegeta."

Bulma's father looked at her mother, slightly askance, then turned back to the window as one more explosion caused the panes to rattle. "I hope they kill, him!"

"Well, the fight's still going on. He seems to be holding his own pretty well. I don't know why, but I wish they hadn't moved off, so we could see." Bulma's mother responded.

"You want them to destroy our house and everything around here, just to watch a fight?" Bulma's father asked derisively.

Her father's face twisted into an expression of bitterness Bulma had never seen before. "That damn Goku is holding back, and holding that green guy back as well. I just know he is. He never goes all out. If he were going all out, this fight would be over and our little girl would be forever safe!"

"Vegeta?" Bulma spoke up still feeling groggy. "Goku? What's going on?"

Bulma sat up in alarm. Her parents surrounded her, as if doing so could protect her from the fight. Another tremor rocked the house, causing the window panes to rattle, again.

"Don't you worry about it, Bulma." Her father put an arm around her. "You just lie back down. That monster will never come near you, again. Your friends will make sure of that!"

"Monster, what?" Bulma looked around for Vegeta as she had a panicked feeling something was terribly wrong.

"Where's Vegeta?" Bulma looked around wildly. "What the hell is going on?"

"You don't have to be afraid of him, any longer." Her father tried to reassure her. "Goku, and that green thing will take care of him! You should have told us he was terrorizing you. We would have never let him do this to you, had we known."

"Terrorize? No!" Bulma fought to get out of bed, clutching the sheet modestly to her naked form. "No, Dad there's been a big misunderstanding."

"Damn right there has!" Her father yelled, trying to keep down tears. "You should have told us what he was doing. We would have never allowed him in our house had you just told us. A father has a right to know so he can protect his baby!"

"Daddy," Bulma said alarmed. "You don't understand. Vegeta isn't like that!"

"Are you saying he didn't terrorize and chase you?" Her father demanded.

"No!" Bulma looked down. "I, mean yes, but well, it isn't all like it sounds and besides . . . "

Bulma fought to bring her mind back to last night's event's. Now purged of the poison, she brought her memory back to a form of coherence.

She looked at her father as the memory hit her with a shock "He saved my life."

"Bulma!" Her father became even angrier. "You don't have to be afraid of him any longer. Stop lying for him!"

"It's true, Dad!" Bulma screamed. "There was this big pterosaur. It flew away with me and tried to eat me! Vegeta killed it and rescued me."

"You mean he didn't rape you?" Her father looked at her in horror. "Those injuries were from some flying monster?"

Bulma looked down almost embarrassed. It was an intensely personal topic for her-not one to discuss with one's father.

"No, Dad. Vegeta never raped me." She said, almost ashamed. "We have been together, and I am pregnant with his child, but, it was my doing as much as his. I'm in love with him, Dad. I don't know why he chased me, but, I am beginning to think it was some crazy Saiya-jin way to prove his love for me. I should have known it was something like that. Those Saiya-jin are so nuts, it figures that is how they would do it."

She looked at her father as she tried not to blush. "If he wanted to hurt me, he could have let that monster eat me. Instead he saved me and even got me back here to get medical attention."

Bulma watched her father swivel his head toward the window in horror. "Oh my God! What have I done?"

"What are you talking about?" Bulma screamed as panic flew to rage. "Where's Vegeta?"

Bulma's father turned white, and then if was possible, even paler.

His words were barely above a whisper. "I . . . I called Goku."

Bulma staggered toward her father, screaming. "Dad, what in the hell did you do? Did you tell Goku, he raped me?"

"Bulma, baby!" Her father pleaded. "Put yourself in my place. If you saw your child come back looking like you did, carried by a monster like that, what would you think?"

"Oh, God, Dad!" Bulma tried not to cry. "Do you know what you've done? The androids are coming in a matter of months. You are going to get them both killed today, which will leave us at the mercy of those androids!"

Bulma felt a wave of weakness compounded by nausea as she struggled to keep standing. Her father tried to pull her back to the bed, but she waved him off. She had to stop this. It had gone too far. She knew she was the only one who could straighten this out, and stop them before they killed each other.

It didn't matter whether Vegeta had done the things they thought, which he hadn't. They needed all of them, Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo. To fight amongst each other at a time like this, was just insanity.

Bulma was looking for her shoes when she heard her father moan as if in pain. "Oh my God. I'm responsible for the murder of an innocent man!"

In another situation, Bulma would have found it funny for anyone to describe Vegeta as "an innocent man." This was not the time, and another far-off explosion reminded her of the urgency of the situation, as she struggled to find some clothes, screaming at her father to fetch a dyno-cap.

Vegeta reached up to wipe the blood away from his mouth, smirking at Goku, pretending he didn't feel the pain. Goku was holding back. Vegeta knew Goku was, and it only angered Vegeta more. He hadn't really wanted this fight-not yet. He wanted to kill the androids first and then settle with Goku.

Only now, they had both drawn blood and it was no longer about what either wanted. They were in the joy and agony of battle. In that state, nothing else mattered, especially, not to Vegeta. Vegeta wanted Goku to fight to his utmost and Vegeta, as ever, was very resourceful when it came to getting what he wanted.

Vegeta's twisted his face to his most ugly smirk. "You should have seen, Bulma when I took her."

Goku turned pale as he looked at Vegeta in stunned disbelief.

Vegeta knew he was a particularly good liar. A skill he honed under his servitude to Furiza, and he loved coming off the monster. He was going to play this to the hilt and enjoy every minute of it.

"The way she cried out my name, and all that blood." Vegeta chuckled darkly, watching his words take effect on Goku.

"And then when I was done, she begged for more." He smiled cruelly.

Inside, Vegeta, felt as if a huge weight had crushed something. But, it was a something he could not quite fathom. He didn't enjoy his lie, as much as he thought he would, even if it had the desired effect on Goku. There was part of him that wished he'd never said it, and he couldn't for the life of him understand why. But, none of this showed on Vegeta's face. All that could be seen by Goku was the cruellest smile Vegeta could manufacture, punctuated with small traces of blood.

Goku's eyes practically bulged in rage, as he slammed his fists together, then held them tightly at his side reaching for even higher levels of his power.

"You unspeakable fuck!" Goku screamed, as he gave in to a blinding rage. "I'm going to tear off your balls and make you eat them along with those words!"

Vegeta grinned, in spite of himself. 'Fuck these new feelings.' He thought. 'This is battle! Nothing else matters.'

"Come on, Kakarotto! Show me what you got! Let's just see who eats what today!"

It was all Vegeta had time to say before they both slammed into each other in a blinding flash of light, as another explosion rocked the Capsule Corporation, and a completely panicked Bulma.
