Emilina (Emmy to Kat and Ymandra) The way she keeps her true name secret is that no one is actually sure how to spell it ;-) Race: Elven Age : 18 Class: Mage/Cleric of Sylvanus Signature Weapon: Staff of the Moonlight Signature Spell: Cantrip used to beautify and give well deserved thwacks on the head Signature Item: Make-up Special Power: Sunlight Physical description. Emmy is tall and very slender. She has long light brown hair that is naturally very straight. Her eyes change color over time going from black to brown to green to blue and back again in different orders. Her skin is only a little tanned and seems to stay that way. She carries herself with poise that a queen could envy and however she may feel inside she appears to be almost unflappable. Her noble birth has given her a love of the finer things in life, from elven wine to diamond jewelry so even when adventuring she can be counted on to look the part of a leader. Her recent discovery of make-up only enhances what she already was. Past: Born the daughter of the leader of the Purple Dragon and she still doesn’t know who her mother was, but she was probably an elf. Emmy had a miserable childhood. Her father believed a Spartan life was most likely to lead to a good life but Emmy was very unhappy. She was punished severely, left alone in a closet for hours on end, and any pretty thing that she was found or given would be taken away by her father as soon as he found it and then she would be punished again. Ms. Waters came to take her away but her father refused despite the life this woman could offer. Eventually Emmy was bought as if she was nothing more than an item. Ms. Waters took her to a town where she met Joey, the somewhat obnoxious but very flattering bard in training, and Ymandra, the nice but far too goodly paladin. Ms. Waters spent a great deal of time trying to figure out what Emmy was suited to studying eventually deciding on Magic. Emmy was taught personally by the Symbul for whom she still has much affection. While this was in progress a new child appeared on the scene. Kat, a poor little ruffian with really no idea what she wanted to do in life. Emmy accompanied Ms. Waters while she tried to help Kat find her place; however while this was in progress Emmy found another place where her heart belonged. The forest. She loved the dryad and when she spoke to Sylvanus her heart sang as if she had come home. Ms. Waters was angry with Emmy for wasting the Symbul’s time but Emmy loved both magic and the forest so now her training was split. This was some of the happiest time of her life while she studied and learned and felt loved by these two great mentors of hers. During this time she also came to care for Kat who was much younger than her and in need of some guidance. Once their training was completed Ms. Waters came again and took them all away to place they could hide from the Time of Troubles. In this hiding place was another young boy, Elly. Elly was painfully shy but overall not a bad guy. After they left their hiding spot they returned to Aribel (where they had been before) and took up residence in an Inn for a while. In this time Emmy arranged for several parties at which Elly (the priest of Lyra) and Joey the bard entertained, while Kat picked the nobles pockets and Emmy ensured that neither the paladin or the nobles realized what was going on. These were more very happy times in Emmy’s life and she made some contacts here for other cities that they might visit. They decided to head to Shadowdale to learn a little more about magic and these odd powers all of us seemed to develop. On the way to Shadowdale Emmy was brutally killed in one hit by a bugbear. Fortunately the love Emmy had earned from Kat lead to her very stubborn efforts to get Emmy resurrected. When she returned she was very grateful but to her surprise now human instead of being half elf and she no longer had her mage power. To her lesser surprise there were two new party member, a very proud young man named Josh, and a very dwarf like young man named Mort. After this some of the less happy times of Emmy’s life began. Kat and Emmy had tricked the party into going to Amm instead of the frigid north that they wanted to explore. It started out pleasantly enough Emmy was now just a druid of Sylvanus but that was okay. There was a unicorn by the side of the river they floated down and Emmy spoke to it for Ymandra. In the end the Unicorn (later named Timura in devotion to Ymandra’s God Tymora) agreed to be Ymandra’s mount. This earned Emmy Ymandra’s gratitude. Shortly after this the bad times began. They were captured by Drow, and then they escapted. Then they were captured by the Orc Horde, then they escaped. They the were held prisoner guests until they agreed to help defeat the lych king. Durring this time Emmy met and came to like Bockitty but she for reasons known only to herself eventually chose Habudai.  During the attack on the Lych King Emmy died again but she was wished back into existence by Kat. She reappeared in the Cormanthyr forest now as a Elven Cleric of Sylvanus (no longer druid) Mage. After all this strife and death the party decided to take some time off. Kat was off studying with Ms. Waters so Emmy began to spend some more time with Ymandra. Durring this time their mutual respect as equal leaders of the party grew into a more in depth relationship. Emmy respected Ymandra’s virtue and her strength to know what was right.  After the year off Kat returned to the party as a half dragon which took some getting used to for Emmy but in the end she was happy for Kat. The party was resting in Goldspun (Josh’s town of peeping tom psions). The town was attacked several times but mostly without serious consequences for the party. However at one point Ms. Waters was attacked and almost killed. Her contingency spell kicked in saving her life and dooming part of the party. They were forced by several beasts into Ms. Waters dungeon of hell. In there if you died your death was permanent. Most of the party managed to live but both Elly and Timura were doomed. They returned alive but Kat was heartbroken over Elly and Ymandra was heartbroken over Timura.  Emmy wanted to help but she didn’t know how so she prayed to Sylvanus and he gave her a scroll and told her that in a year Timura could return. Ymandra found out on her own that this was to happen and when Emmy confessed why it was Ymandra very blatantly expressed her love. Emmy was in shock over the directness of it and fled. After talking with Kat though she came to realize that Ymandra’s directness was part of her that she would have to accept. Kat went to talk to Ymandra (Mandy) about how Emmy was feeling and when Mandy finally returned to her bed chambers they were prepared for a night of romance. Emmy and Mandy were very happy together in a symbiotic relationship of love. Emmy even convinced Mandy to become a vegetarian. Ms. Waters taught Emmy about alchemy, and a new party member named Ashton arrived by courtesy of Ms. Waters as well. He was very snobby and rude to Emmy so they didn’t get along very well at first. After this they decided to return to Aribel for a while. However once they arrived they found the city was sick with a magic resistant plague. Emmy’s knowledge allowed to her discover a cure. Emmy didn’t want to return to the plague infested city but Ymandra insisted so a sulking Emmy and a somewhat resentful Kat followed. During this battle Ymandra fell and was level drained and taken to the Negative Material Plane. Emmy was heartbroken. Ms. Waters told her that Ymandra was happier where she was and Emmy believed her until she prayed to Sylvanus for help and he told her that Mandy would be happier with Emmy there.. Emmy spent a lot of time thinking about weather or not she should follow Ymandra to the negative material plane.  If she did she would leave Kat alone forever and she would only be Mandy’s concubine. She decide that the greatest number of people would be happiest if she stayed with Kat so she did. She came up with an atonement for herself because physical pain is easier to handle than this heartbreak but it didn’t help. Eventually Ms. Waters taught Emmy how to break through some magic resistance and that made her feel like she wouldn’t necessarily feel like a failure if she were to fight again. Ms. Waters wants to go planer so the party had to go procure a few artifacts for her. Ms. Waters also gave Emmy a sphere that would allow her to contact Mandy once, but only once. Inside the dungeon they found a room where a person pure of heart was needed to enter so Emmy contacted Mandy. They talked for a long time and cried a lot and then said good bye. But about an hour Later Mandy suddenly appeared with them. She heroically grabbed two artifacts and then Emmy and Mandy were reunited. Once back in Goldspun Emmy and Mandy spent much time together talking and Emmy found out that Mandy was just spending time with her waiting to return to Totoren the man who drained her and took her to the negative material plane. Emmy was very hurt by this and tried to make Mandy choose between them. This was hard on Mandy and Mandy went to talk to Totoren about it. After they talked Mandy told Emmy what had been said and Emmy realized he was right about one thing, it was wrong for her to make Mandy choose, but at the same time she wasn’t prepared to be Mandy’s concubine or her time killer until she returned to him. So Emmy released Mandy from her vow to stay with her and told her she should go with him because he would make her happier. They cried a lot but to Emmy’s surprise Mandy told her that she had decided to stay with her. After this Emmy talked to Mandy about Totoren for a while about why she loved and how it had come to be and Mandy realized that Totoren had forced the love to come and that seamed to seal the idea that Mandy would stay with Emmy but Mandy needed to talk to Toteron about it to see what he would say in defense of his actions and Emmy is scared silly that Totoren will steal Mandy back or change her again so that she can never love Emmy but that answer is still to come.
