BASIC
LEVEL 1  The Eyes of the Serpent
The legendary hypnotic gaze of the serpent is yours.  When you meet the gaze of a victim (who need only be able to see your eyes), your eyes become gold with large black irises, capturing the attention of your subject.  As long as you hold the gaze of the target, he/she remains completely immobilized.  Of course, if the target is attacked or injured, the hypnotic spell breaks.

LEVEL 2  The Tongue of the Asp
At will, you can cause your tongue to shift in shape to that of a snake.  The supernatural razor-edge on the forked tongue inflicts terrible wounds, striking up to a foot and a half away, and, if not removed or dealt with soon, can even let you drink blood from your victims.

INTERMEDIATE
LEVEL 3  The Skin of The Adder
The power of your reptilian blood allows you to erupt into a serpentine form of protective scales and snakelike flexibility.  You can  thus transform into a monstrous hybrid of humanoid and snake, an effective engine of war or a terrible slithering beast of intimidation.

Bitumenous Flesh
This power allows the user to mummify herself, shriveling into an almost invulnerable form.  Bitumenous Flesh induces a state similar to torpor; only sunlight and fire can harm the mummified vampire.  However, the vampire is completely immobile, and may not even employ those disciplines that are normally active during torpor.  The vampire can only be revived from this state by the taste of blood.  Rumors speak of powerful Setite elders who took the form of Bitmenous Flesh long ago, and still wait for loyal followers to awken their evil once again.

This change takes one turn to complete.

LEVEL 4  The Form of the Cobra
No longer limited to steps between man and snake, you can literally turn into a giant cobra.  This reptile form grants a venomous bite and the ability to slip through small passages, while still allowing you to use any Disciplines that do not require hands or speech.  In this form, you retain your normal weight, so you area tremendous, black and gold nightmare serpent.
 
You remain in serpent form until the next sunrise, unless you decide to change back earlier.  Additionally, the venom of your bite is poisonous to mortals.

ADVANCED
LEVEL 5  The Heart of Darkness (also called Cheat Thoth's Scale)
On the new moon, you can pull your very heart from your unloving body; with several hours of surgery, you can even do the same to another Vampire.  Anyone who heart is removed in this fashion is therefore immune to staking.  Most often, the Vampire carefully places the heart in a guarded clay urn, perhaps surrounded by other false hearts to avoid discovery.
 
If the separated heart is staked, then its Vampiric owner (the Vampire that the heart originally came from is immediately paralyzed.    Should the heart be exposed to fire or sunlight, it is destroyed and its owner erupts into flame, reduced to ash (and Final Death).
 
Use of The Heart of Darkness can also return a stolen heart to its former body.  Obviously, trying to use this discipline on a mortal, even a ghoul, is messily fatal.

LEVEL 6  Breath of the Basilisk
The vampire may call on her inner corruption and spew it forth in a poisonous cloud of taint.  This airborne poison is powerful enough to wither trees and even corrode stone.  The breath covers an area roughly three feet across and can catch someone's head and torso if well aimed.  This power was given its current name by a horrifed Toreador who watched his Lasombra patron wither and perish, eaten away by an angry Setite elder's bile.

The vampire spends one blood point to exhale a fine mist.  In melee, the vampire can roll Dexterity + Brawl (difficulty 6) to catch an opponent up to six feet away.  The target may attempt to dodge the cloud (the only hope for most).  Each success inflicts one Health Level of ggravated damage, soakable only by Fortitude.  The targets are likely poisoned as well, and mortal victims may well die within hours.  This power can also be used to corrode inanimate objects; generally speaking, one breath pits and weakens an inch's depth fo stone, corrodes metal blades into uselessness (if not destroying them), or thoroughly rots wood as thick as an inch.

The Snake Inside

BASIC
LEVEL 1  First Taste
The Setite uses this power while his target is conducting some minor, repetitive action.  The power makes him unconsciously associate his action with pleasure, so he'll want to do it again.  And again.  And again.  Creative-minded Setites can addict their victims to thoroughly bizarre substances or behaviors.

The victim under the influence of this power must invoke heavily upon willpower to resist the urge to do the triggered behavior upon seeing a chance to indulge in it.

LEVEL 2  Cross Addiction
The Setite temporarily changes the focus of an addict or compulsive's dependency to a substance or behavior of her own choosing.  For example, a cocaine addict could be made to crave the act of sex while on the rush, or a compulsive gambler may become a kleptomaniac as well.

While the Setite is in the victim's company, the player rolls Manipulation + Seduction (difficulty equals the target's Willpower).  If successful, the target switches fixations for a number of scenes equal to the Setite's successes.  by spending a blood point, the vampire can extend the period of time for the same number of scenes.

INTERMEDIATE
LEVEL 3  The Jones
The Setite reinforces a victim's preexisting addiction or compulsion, so that he'll set aside all of his moral imulses and ethical beliefs to satisfy his craving.

A blood point must be expended for this power to function, and must be in the subject's presence.  The victim has no defense, not even willpower against this power.

LEVEL 4  Fatal Compulsion
The Setite twists a victim's dependency, turning it into a literal hunger.  If the subject doesn't satisfy his addiction, he starves to death.

This power requires three blood points and being in the victim's presence.  The power's influence ends when the compulsion is satisfied.  For every three nights the subject does not indulge in the compulsion, the victim suffers one level of damage.

The Path of the Dry Nile

BASIC
LEVEL 1  Beauty Fades
The Setite causes a work of art, such as a painting, sculpture, novel, film, or live performance, to be perceived by its audience as repellent, ugly, badly executed, and creully nihilistic.  Using the power on a work of art that already displays one or more of these qualities is redundant.

The caster must be in the presence of the work of art to cast.  If multiple copies of the artwork exist, the only one(s) affected are the one(s) in the caster's presence at the time of casting the power. 

LEVEL 2  Trust Withers
The victim begins to suspect that a specified, trusted ally or associate intends to betray him.  The victim's delusion escalates from mild unease to wild-eyed paranoia.

The expenditure of a blood point is required for this power.  This power may take anywhere from one to nine weeks for the full effect of the power to manifest, depending on the willpower of the victim.

INTERMEDIATE
LEVEL 3  Love Dies
The Setite suppresses all feelings of love felt by the victim toward a specified secondary target.  The first victim feels nothing but emptiness and confusion when he sees or thinks about the second.  Love Dies counters romantic, platonic, and familial love.

The caster must be in the presence of the subject to cast this power.  It costs two blood points to use, after which the target's emotional attachment -- which must have been love in origin --withers over the course of the next few nights.  This power does not affect blood bonds.  Love Dies ends after a number of months equal to the caster's willpower at the time it was used.

LEVEL 4  Hope Dissolves
The Setite's victim can't shake the absolute conviction that a specified goal he meant to accomplish can under no circumstances be achieved.  He rapidly grows disheartened and indolent.

Casting requires the invoker to be in the presence of the victim at the time it is cast.  It costs the caster three blood points to use this power.  The victim sinks into a deep depression over the course of one day or night, and becomes distinctly morose.  The depression affects dramatically their ability to perform even the simplest tasks.  Although unlikely to drive someone to suicidal depression, a person predisposed towards that end may find the urge more compelling.

ADVANCED
LEVEL 5  Thrones Crumble
The Setite selects an individual and causes him to reexamine his loyalty to an authority figure.  No matter why the target followed his leader -- admiration, ideological fervor, fear, greed, or simple ambivalence -- he now bitterly rejects his allegiance.  Whether the victim actively works against the former object of his loyalty, or simply drops out of the picture, remains his choice.

The vampire must have the victim in sight to cast this power.  The cost for Thrones Crumble is three blood points.  If the victim cannot shake off the effect due to willpower, he acquires anactive antipathy for some leadership figure who affects his life -- a manager, a vicat, a king, a president, his father -- and reacts in order with his nature agaist that figure.  This will not always result in physical conflict; a Conformist may well "play along" grudingly with the authority figure, but he might seek the company of others who opposethe elader, whereas a Rogue may make a grand show of rebellion against the leader.
