Lone Oak is a proud supporter of Winter Guard International.

Lone Oak competed in five competitions in their 1998 season. Three were Southeastern Color Guard Circuit regular season contests, the Mid-East Regional hosted by Winter Guard International, and the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit Championships. Lone Oak ended the season with four first place guard plaques while competing in the Scholastic A classification.

Lone Oak's final competition of the winter season was the 1998 Southeastern Color Guard Circuit Championships held at Bradley Central High School in Cleveland, Tennessee, on April 4.
The guard finished in a tie for 9th place and as the highest placing Kentucky guard in their classification!!!
