God,

We pray for Your guidance in our lives through this next week.

Lead us along the path which will best benefit our Christain growth.

If that path leads us into not so Christain company and territory, be with us and help us to understand what it is You would have us learn or have us teach.

Always keep our minds open so that we might learn new applications for your teaching.

Fill our minds and hearts with Your loving Spirit and let it overflow onto others who we will meet in the coming days.

Help us to reach out and touch someone's life with an act of Christain kindness or Christain word.

For those who we try to touch, help them be receptive to the Christain Spirit.

For those who are difficult to reach, who misunderstand the teachings, who reject Your offers, help us to sow a small seed of thought or act that some later Fisherman might reap its fruit.

For those forces of darkness which pull at us, telling us we shouldn't walk the straight and narrow, help us to teach those forces that if they refuse to enlighten their lives with Truth, don't expect us to darken ours with their misguided ways.

Help us to strengthen our faith beyond that of believing in unseen things to that of knowing of unseen things.

When our life becomes difficult and hard to bear, please strengthen us with wisdom and understanding of why thing happen as then do.

When our sorrow over comes us and makes us bitter for a while please forgive our lost of control and help others to understand and forgive us.

When our understanding of events fails our reasoning ability, please help us to search and to learn so that we may grow in our Christain life.

When our grief is great, please comfort us with the knowledge that our separation from loved ones is only temporary and that we will soon be together again.

When our joy is restored, please remind us to give You thanks. and help us to share our happy times with our family and friends.

When our life is easy and smooth again, please help us to enjoy and appreciate the good times so that our remembrance of them can help carry us through the bad times.

And God, when it comes out time to be called home, let it be that we leave behind good deeds for others to follow, growing seeds of future Christains, and a life worthy of our family and friend's sorrow and grief: a life which others will point to and say, "There walked a Christain."

Amen.
