There is nothing I can write,
There is nothing I can do
To stop this war.
Absolutely helpless.
Not a phrase, not a thought
Can I conjure up
To put this war down.

The blood and guts have been flowing for thirty days and will continue to do so. Death and suffering by the tens of thousands. The final toll will exceed that of NAM, much more on the Iraqian side. Such waste caused by ... what? A ruthless man possessed by power and an unretractable stance in opposition to his evil ways. The first will literally fight to the last drop of his peoples' blood. The second will oblige to the bloodletting. The radical factions of the Arabian people will make a god of the first and continue to make a devil of the second. The second will claim a wrong made right, expend its resources to rebuilt the destroyed land and continue to suffer the hatred of the radi- cals. There will be victory for neither.

It use to be that the United States would cut a deal with satan in its opposition to Communism. Now, it seems that those who hate the United States for hatred's sake alone will follow satan where ever he leads them. That an evil man with military power can be the cause of thousands of deaths, his own people included, and still remain in power could be taken as a sign of satan's support. Yet they accuse others of being satan's agents in this world. The first targets civilian communities with his missiles. Yet when his own military installations, full of civilians, are destroyed, the Arabian world rages against such acts. But they glorify such deeds, as long as they're against the United States. Their hatred has made them oblivious to the peril their own deeds have placed them, as we all stand before God's judgment.

This war's side effects are just as baffling as the war itself. There's concern over the death of civilians (women, children and elders). But the death of men on the batttlefield is no less painful. It's acceptabe to kill men but let the women and children live to suffer the loss of their men.

Those who protest this war, protest all wars, are not considered as peace makers. They are accused of being unsupportive of the troops. Once war starts, anything less than blind patriotism becomes unacceptable. The evil man has never expected no less of his own people. Support the troops rallys and fly the flag fever are every where. Support the war effort but scorn the support of peace on earth.
