"In January of '98, I went to a BSB concert. They were absolutely great...of course. Well, after the show, I was in a really bad mood. My mom was hassling me as we were leaving Murat Theater. I didn't realize it until we got outside, but the BSB were scheduled to leave out the stage door after the concert. The crowd of girls wasn't too big yet, so I squeezed in. I couldn't see over some heads, so I stood on one of those big green box things ( I don't know what they are). One of the security guards opened the door, and all of the girls who couldn't see who it was went wild, they all crowded in to see if it was a BSB. It got more and more crowded, but the sg (security guard) said that they couldn't come out until everyone got off the sidewalk leading to the bus. There were alot of sg's there! Finally, after 15 minutes of waiting in the cold;it was well worth it; the sg's escorted Nick and A.J. to the bus. Just in the "nick" of time, I jumped down to try to get a better look. Everyone had their hands out to touch him, so I put mine out there. I imagined that he looked at me (he didn't), but I actually touched his shoulder with my right hand. I was sooooo thrilled!! They weren't giving out autographs, but hey, I didn't care, I touched him!!!!!!
I was so excited, I thought I was in heaven. Well, I ran to the bus after all the girls decided they couldn't see in. They ended up sneaking Howie out the back. Brian and Kevin went home with family members to visit. Nick was peaking out of the blinds on the bus, to see all the fans go crazy. There were girls THROWING themselves on the bus!! I just stood at the corner of the front, trying to see inside a door that separated the driver from the boyz. Just then, A.J. popped out the door to watch for Howie, he didn't know he went out the back. I looked behind him, and there was my beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed baby, Nick. He was sprawled out on a love seat. He was sooooo gorgeous!!! That image is FOREVER dented in my heart. I know I can't have the actual Nick Carter, but I can have the memory of him slouching just like any other laid-back guy. I hope you remember that too."

"I know this sounds unbelievable, but it's true!!! I went to a Backstreet Boys concert on January 18 in Columbus Ohio. I was rocking, dancing and singing all night. I had gone to the concert with my friend Renee. We sat way in the back of the place and had no binoculars. We had looked forward to this night for months! Since we sat way in the back, we couldn't see very well. We were pretty much bummed out, but tried to make the best of it! We danced and danced until their last song. My friend Renee suggested that we leave during their last song to see if we could get near their bus to see them leave. So we decided that since we couldn't see very well anyway, we might as well. We got out of our seats and started walking to where we knew they would come out of. The song ended and we waited anxiously for their arrival in the back of the building. Out came Howie, looking fine, followed by Nick then Kevin then Brian then A.J. ( my fav.) They didn't get in their bus, but they came down to the fence to sign autographs! ( right where we were standing!) I had no paper, but I had 3 pens sticking out of my shirt pocket. The guys didn't have pens either ( cuz they had performed ) so out of nowhere, I see a hand covered in silver rings lay on my shoulder. I looked to see who it was and it was A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys! Renee was screaming and screaming, but I heard A.J. say to me " Can I use one of your pens? Please?" I was so shocked that it was actually him, but I managed to say yes and I pulled one out and gave it to him. He signed the paper that the girl next to me had and thn he came back to me. He said " Do you want an autograph?" I said yes, but I told him I didn't have anything to write on. He pulled off his white Nike hat and signed it and gave it to me!!!! And then he said " Here, you can have my hat if you'll let me keep the pen!" I just nodded my head and a tear came tumbling down. I said thank you and A.J. reached out his hand and wiped my tear away!!!! He touched my cheek and I have his hat. That night started out to be a dud, but it turned out to be the best night of my life! I will remember that day forever and if I forget at all, I have A.J.'s hat to remind me of the happiness that he brought to me."

"Hey! My name (nickname actually) is Benji. Alright, I'm gonna start off saying that this "incident" happened when I didn't really know or cared who the BSBs were. (Poor, ignorant me...;> )
My friend Jen and I had just gone to the first BSB concert here in Edmonton and we were sitting on a cement ledge that overlooks the parking lot of the Convention Center (where the concert was held) and river. The Convention Center is built into the side of a hill, and we were on the lowest ledge. Neither of us really knew who these guys were, and we only got tickets 'cause I mentioned to my parents earlier that I had never been to a concert before, and I'd like to go to one for my birthday. So they ended up getting me tickets to the next show coming to Edmonton, which was the BSB concert. Anyway, we were sitting on this ledge 'cause we were waiting for our hearing to come back. I literally couldn't hear a thing for a while. While we were sitting there, a beige van pulled into the building beneath us. Jen looked at me a said (actually yelled 'cause we were deaf) "Wasn't the van Kendra followed beige?"
(Note: before the concert, after the autograph signing, my friend Kendra, who was obsessed with the BSBs, followed them to a Mickey D's, and ended up having lunch with them. They were being driven in a beige van. We found this out when we cut in front of her in the line for the concert.)
I said yeah, and went back to rubbing my temples 'cause I was getting a headache from all the screaming at the concert. A few minutes later, the van pulled out and started driving across the parking lot. Suddenly it stopped about 15 feet away from us (it was a 20 foot drop to the ground from where we were sitting, and they were 15 feet out). The side window opened and a face appeared. The person started waving at us and smiling, so we smiled and waved back. Then the person started calling something to us while motioning us to come. Neither of us could hear what he was saying, and actually neither of us cared. So we gave him another slight wave and went back to talking (as best we could). I watched the van out of the corner of my eye. I saw the guy stop waving and say something to someone beside him. It looked like someone from the back pulled on his ear or something, before he rolled up the window and the van drove away. Jen looked at me and said, "Wasn't that that...ummm...AJ or something guy?". I said I think so, 'cause he was wearing shades, and Jen mentioned something about his sunglasses earlier when they first came on stage during the concert. Jen looked at her watch and said we should leave 'cause we had to meet some people in a bit, so we did.
That's it for my almost-encounter-but-wasn't-'cause-I-was-stupid. Hope ya liked it, 'cause I'm actually kicking myself now. I'm pretty sure you can see why."

This is actually a dream a girl had, but since it was an interesting twist to the "meeting the BSB" idea, I decided to put it here! And besides, even though she didn't meet them in real life, you can't say this story isn't true, 'cause she DID have the dream! ;)
"It was a warm sunny day in Orlando. I was doing the
usual (which is shopping, of course)when my best
friend and her boyfriend walked up behind me and
scared me. My reply was, "Nikki, Jeremy! I'll Kick
your butt!" So I started chasing Nikki around the
store (Old Navy) when I bumped into someone at the
checkout counter. It was my teacher who doesn't like
me all that much anyway. Ohmygawd! She threatened to
give me a C on my project on a modern day person(or
people)who has caused a major influence on people
today(BSB of course). Anyway, I apologized and went on
my merry way. We stopped at Mickey D's to get a
milkshake. While we were sitting and talking, I
noticed a crowd forming out of the corner of my eye.
so I decided to check it out. It was Britney Spears,
and Justin Timberlake. He reached over and kissed her.
Yuck! Cooties!!!! So my friends and I decided to go
see a movie. Well, we got our tickets and snack and
sat down. Justin and Britney were sitting behind us
smooching. The movie was Deep Blue Sea. I was
enjoying the movie and so was Jeremy, but Nikki wasn’t
going to hold the puke in for long so when the movie
ended, we decided to go out to eat. We didn’t eat all
our popcorn. So we went to Planet Hollywood. We were
seated on the 4th floor, by a statue of an Alien.
Seated behind us was, you guessed it, Britney and
Justin. Why were they following us???? By the time we
drove up in my driveway, it had to be 11:00. When I
opened the door, the lights were off. So I turned them
on cause I’m scared of the dark. The minute they came
on, I heard someone singing Happy Birthday. So I
walked in my living room and saw 5 7ft boxes. I had
forgotten that it was my birthday. I can’t help it,
I’m blonde!!! Anyway, I opened the boxes and it was
BSB!!!!!! Nick reached over and gave me a kiss!!! How
sweet of him!!!!!!! Britney was there, not that I’m a
huge fan. Justin was too. When I opened the last box,
Justin was inside, or so I thought. So "Justin" took
off
the mask and it was AJ!!!!!! He had been following me
all day!!! However, it really was Justin who kissed
Britney in the mall and at the theater. Britney told
me that AJ and Justin switched places (Thank the Lord)
before they arrived at Planet Hollywood. So it was the
best birthday of my life!!!!!!! And then I woke up
from my wonderful dream."
