Just like everything else about this site, my awards have changed as well! Before, I only had one award for websites, and it was very hard to win (because I'm so picky). However, I've created several new awards, which means that it'll be easier for your site to win!
As of 10.29.2000 - You can no longer choose which exact award you're going for. Just about everyone was going for the 'Overall Site Award', and while there's nothing wrong with that, as I've already said, I'm VERY picky about who I give that to. So now you only have the option to say whether you're going for a general site award, or a fanfiction award. When you submit your site URL, I'll look over your site and think about which award I think is most fitting. This way, if you get the 'Overall Site Award', it'll be more of a surprise! ;) I'm not trying to be mean by changing this, I just think it's a little more fair! :)
Creativity Award: Is your site original? Is it a creative concept? Are all the ideas and things presented there yours? If so, then you can enter to win this award! Basically, as the name suggests, I'm looking for creative and original content. It's fairly easy to win. If you'd like to see what the award will look like, then click here.
HTML Award: What I'm looking for here is a good knowledge of html on your website. You don't have to have anything really really fancy like multiple-framed pages or anything like that...just show me that you know your html! I'll first take a look at the site itself, and then if I have trouble deciding, I might take a look at your document source. If you have the right-click disabled, that's perfectly alright! This award is a little bit harder to win than the creativity award, but it's still relatively easy. If you'd like to see what this award will look like, then click here.
Info Award: Do you keep your site updated with all the latest BSB info? Then this award is for you! I'll take a look at your site, check out the information page, and if everything is up-to-date, then I'll send you the award! Basically, if you've got BSB information that people are gonna want to read, then you'll get this award. It's a pretty easy one. If you'd like to see what it will look like, then click here.
Overall Site Award: The hardest award to win! Your site must be creative, original, have a nice layout (i.e. It's easy to get around), have very few broken links, minimal spelling errors...all that good stuff. Since this was my original award, that's why it was so hard for anybody to win! Your site doesn't have to be like the Official BSB Page (obviously I can't hold my standards that high, or I'd be hypocritical!), but it's gotta be good! Individual Member Awards: I also made up an award for those of you whose sites are dedicated to only one member of the group. These are probably the easiest to win, as the only requirements are that your site is creative and easy to navigate. If you'd like to see these awards, click on one of the links below.
I only have one fanfic award, and that one has also changed from the original. I'm just as picky with this award as I am with my Overall Site Award, so if you want to win this one, make sure your fan fiction can take the heat! I'll be looking for:
Good grammar (It doesn't have to be perfect..I'm no grammar queen myself!)
Good spelling (A few spelling errors here and there are okay...but no more than three per page!)
Creativity (Give me something that feeds my imagination!)
Originality (i.e.You didn't copy the storyline from someone else's site)
No lewd sex scenes!
Let me clarify that last one for you. If you have sexual scenes in your fanfic, that's fine. But if I see any of those lewd slang terms for human genitalia (and I'm not even going to give any examples...if they're in your story, you'll know), then you can forget about it. I don't mind sex scenes half as much as I used to, but I won't stand for that sort of thing. Anyway, if you'd like to see what the award will look like, click here.
