Backgrounds

Alright! Looks like we're getting the hang of this HTML thing. Now, let's make this page stand out from the others. Why don't we try adding a background? The background you choose is up to you. Keep one thing in mind: the reason we formatted the TEXT, BGCOLOR (background color), LINK, VLINK (visited link), and ALINK (active link) is that some backgrounds distort text to the point where it is unreadable. Make sure you choose a background that looks good and allows text to be viewed. Also remember that the default color for links are blue. If you use a blueish background for your Web page, make sure you are able to see the link. Otherwise, you'll need to change the LINK color so that your visitors will be able to see it. For an idea on what colors you can use for your backgrounds, check out our fonts and colors page. We'll use BACKGROUND="..." in the <BODY> code to create the desired background for our site. To find the background image that you want to use, go to our page of valueable links.
