Horizontal RulesLooking more like something? Looks like we need something. Notice that there seems to be a lot of open space and no definition of different sections. Let's add a couple <HR>(which creates a horizontal rule) to separate things. The good thing about rules that you can see where one topic or item ends and another begins. You can change the properties of the horizontal rule by adding a size= attribute and a width= attribute. For example, say you wanted the rule to be two sizes thicker, but half as wide. You would add size=2 width=50% within the <HR> tag. We have the first horizontal rule separating the heading from the initial paragraph. The second rule separates the paragraph from the rest of the Web page. This gives us three sections, the head of the page where the heading is, the body of the page where most of the paragraphs and graphics will go, and the base where we can add links, e-mail addresses, and other last minute details. It is this type of design that allows the user to find what they need rather than search for it.
